APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1.Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting June 17, 20168:30 AM
Chair Ostness asked the Council if there were any corrections to the minutes from June
17, 2016. A motion was made by Council member Schrank and seconded by Council
member Adams. A voice vote was taken and minutes were approved.

There was no public comment.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Financial Reports
Dr. Beata Haug, Health and Human Services Fiscal Manager, presented the pre audit
2015 year end report for Aging and Disability Resource Center and Aging programs.
She also presented and reviewed the financial reports up to the month of June. There was
discussion on where the expenses that have historically been charged the Trust accounts
would be in the 2017 Budget. The proposed 2017 Budget will be part September meeting
agenda and further explanation can be done at that time.

2. St. Croix County Transit Committee Presentation
Tracy Davis, Aging and Disability Resource Center Community Services Coordinator,
provided a power point presentation regarding the St. Croix County Transit Planning
Committee. Council members were provided with copies of the Transit Survey to
complete and assist in distribution of the survey.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Community Based Residential Facility Name
Fred Johnson, HHS Director, updated the Council members pertaining to the naming of
the new Community Based Residential Facility in memory of former Department of
Health Services Secretary Kitty Rhoades. The Health and Human Services Board will be
drafting a resolution to presented to the County Board.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Home Delivered and Congregate Meal Statistics for the 2nd quarter of 2016 and 6 month
comparison
Beckman reviewed the Home-delivered and Congregate Meal statistics for the 2nd
quarter and 6 month. Overall the meals have increased in both programs.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. ADRC Business Plan Exterior Signage Recommendation
Beckman provided the Council with a photo of the approved sign redesign. Council
members asked if the other departments could be listed alphabetically. Johnson stated he
would bring the recommendation to Building Facilities.

6. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council members received the June and July 2016 Information and Assistance Reports.
There were a total of eighteen enrollments into ContinuUs and six disenrollements; there
were four enrollments into IRIS and five disenrollments. In the month of July there were
four enrollments into Care Wisconsin.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
7. Out of County and Weekend Senior Center Transportation Requests
There were numerous out-of-county or beyond hours of operation requests related to the
utilization of the ADRC/Aging fleet vehicles.
August 26: Hudson to Bayport
August 28: Somerset to Stillwater
Sept. 8: Baldwin to Menomonie
Sept. 10: Glenwood City to Dallas, WI
Sept. 14: Hudson to Stillwater
Sept. 24: Glenwood City to Stillwater
A motion was made by Council member Schrank and seconded by Council member
Pelnar. Motion carried.

8. New Richmond Senior Center - relocation update
The New Richmond Senior Center will be moving September 2 to the New Richmond
Civic Center. Items not needed at the Senior Center will be stored with the VFW. The
kitchen at the Civic Center has been remodeled and additional equipment has been
purchased to accommodate their needs.

9. Aging and Disability Resource Center St. Croix County Fair Report
The winners of the Outstanding Older Adult Award, Char Croes, Deer Park and Jim
Wickboldt, Woodville, were honored on Friday, July 22. Over $2,000 was raised for the
respective Senior Centers and the Senior Center Board Coalition with the Silent Auction
and the sales of popcorn and juice.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Sandy Hackenmueller, to present information on the new Health Center.
Nutrition Program Managers to present activities at their respective Senior Centers.
ABLE Act that was recently put into legislation.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Brad read two exerts from the BenSpectrum Newsletter recognizes Mike Traynor, Elder Benefit
Specialist. He presented a variety of newspaper articles regarding nutrition programs and
caregiving. Council members were provided with flyers on upcoming events. Beckman
reminded the Council members of the upcoming Caregiver Conference.

The Council on Aging and Disabilities meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
