APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting December 16, 2016 8:30 AM alfie and paulette RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT There was no public comment BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Hudson Nutrition Program Presentation The Hudson Nutrition Program Manager Melissa Wright was not able to attend the meeting this month so a written report was provided by Administrator Beckman on her behalf. The report included details on the monthly activities over the past year and upcoming events. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Financial Reports Dr. Haug was not present, but provided a summary report to be read. When looking at the ADRC, the revenue is lower than prior year due to change in Dementia Care Specialist federal match. The Aging is in line with prior year with the revenue and the expenses are increased due to wages. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet Council members reviewed the December 2016 Information & Assistance Update Sheet. There were two enrollments into ContinuUs and three disenrollments; there were nine enrollments into Care Wisconsin and no disenrollments; there were two enrollments into IRIS and one disenrollment. The Information & Assistance Specialists have been working closely with the staff of The Lutheran Home to assist with relocating residents either to other nursing homes or assisted living/community based residential facilities. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Home Delivered and Congregate Meal Year to Date Statistics for 2016 Council Members received statistics regarding the number of meals provided in 2016 compared to 2015. Overall, the numbers are higher than 2015, but the onsite congregate dining is lower than the prior year. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. Out of County and Weekend Senior Center Transportation Requests There were some out of county or beyond hours of operation requests related to the utilization of the ADRC/Aging fleet vehicles. Aging and Disability Resource Center Aiming for Excellence Change Team Project Survey Results Council members were given a copy of the Aiming for Excellence Survey Project Results for 2016. The survey provides input on how we can improve the services through the ADRC. It will continue to be part of the ADRC Welcome packets. RESULT: DISCUSSED 7. American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Tax Assistance Schedule for 2017 Council members received a copy of the AARP Tax Assistance schedule for 2017. The first date of assistance will be Monday, February 6 at the St. Croix County Government Center in Hudson. RESULT: DISCUSSED 8. 2017 St. Croix County Senior Center Card Tournament Council members received a copy of the 2017 Annual Countywide Card Tournament. If Council members would like to play, they should contact the Senior Center in their town. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Transit Committee update Public Health and the water quality in St. Croix County ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Administrator Beckman read a thank you from a consumer for the Caregiver Program. He also read a kuddos to the foot care provider for Woodville Nutrition Site regarding the health concerns of a consumer. Beckman also share the Hudson Senior Center received a grant from Anderson Foundation. The ADRC has been at meetings with the New Richmond VFW regarding a new location for not just the VFW but the New Richmond Senior Center.
