APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. March 10, 2017 8:30 AM
Vice Chair Schreiber asked the Council if there were any corrections to the minutes from the
March 10, 2017 meeting. There were none noted. A motion to approve the minutes was made by
Council member Alfred Schrank; seconded by Council member Adams; motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Vice Chair Schreiber opened the meeting for any public comment.
Dave McDonald, Hudson, addressed the Council regarding the fact that he is paid driver for the
Hudson Senior Center as well as a volunteer driver for the past 5 years. He voiced his concerns
regarding the inability to continue as a volunteer driver.
There was no other public comment.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Presentation by Care Wisconsin Managed Care Organization
Jenny Schemenauer, Regional Director for Care Wisconsin, provided Council members
with a brochure. Care Wisconsin is the other Managed Care Organization for the Family
Care Services in St. Croix County. Care Wisconsin has been in the five county region
(Chippewa, Eau Claire, Dunn, St. Croix, and Pierce) for nine months with a current case
load of 156 individuals within the five county region of those 156, St. Croix County has
thirty-two. She spoke on current staffing pattern, member status, and some challenges.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. 2016 Aging Unit Plan Self-Assessment
Tracy Davis, Community Services Coordinator, presented the 2016 Aging Unit Plan Self-
Assessment. She highlighted the key points within the Assessment and the goals that
were accomplished. A motion was made by Council member Pelnar; seconded by
Council member Jonas; motion carried.

3. Financial Reports
Johnson explained there are no major variances to the monthly finance report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. St. Croix County Volunteer Application
Beckman explained the volunteer application process is countywide, not just for ADRC
Volunteers. There have been a few of the current volunteers that have decided not to
complete and return the application. Johnson mentioned that the process is being done
through Human Resources is to ensure individuals are not in a dual role. Dave
McDonald spoke on the struggles of completing the application and that some of opted to
stop volunteering. The Council discussed the process. Bob Mittet, Finance Director,
addressed the dual roles of employee/volunteering as it fits with in the federal law.
Johnson mentioned that the item can come back to the Council for updates after further
discussion and research is completed with Human Resources. Additional discussion was
held.

5. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council members reviewed the March 2017 Information & Assistance Update Sheet.
There were two enrollments into Community Link and one disenrollment; there were
seven enrollments in Care Wiscsonsin and no disenrollments; there was one enrollment
into IRIS and no disenrollments.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. Out of County and Weekend Senior Center Transportation Requests
There was one out of county or beyond hours of operation request related to the
utilization of the ADRC/Aging fleet vehicles.
June 6: Woodville to Eau Claire
A motion to approve the transportation requests was made by Supervisor Anderson;
seconded by Council member Zaske; motion carried.

7. 2017 Council on Aging and Disabilities meeting dates
Beckman approached the Council regarding the remaining meeting dates. A motion was
made to move the meetings to the 2nd Friday of the month except February and July by
Council member Schrank; seconded by Council member Brue; motion carried.

8. Aging and Disability Resource Center Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
Beckman informed the Council that the upcoming Banquet will be held on Friday, May 5
at Ready Randy's in New Richmond.

9. 2017 Annual St. Croix County Senior Citizen's Picnic
The Annual St. County Senior Citizen's Picnic will be held on Friday, June 9 at the
Roberts Park Building.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Presentation by Community Link; HHS Capital Improvement Plan; HHS Annual Report; Update
on Transit Committee
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
The Nutrition Advisory Council meet on Monday, April 10 in Roberts. The next meeting will be
held in June.
There is a state budget hearing meeting to be held in Ellsworth at the High School starting at 10
a.m. on April 19.
Beckman read a couple of thank yous from consumers regarding the assistance they received
from teh ADRC.
Beckman announced that in collaboration with the Human Services Association Club at WITC-
NR, the New Richmond Senior Center will host the 4th Annual Spring Fling on April 20.
