APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. May 11, 2018 8:30 AM
Council on Aging and Disabilities Chair Anderson asked if there were any corrections, additions
or deletions for the minutes. It was noted that a correction needed to be made in the Roll Call.
A motion was made by Council member Schrank and seconded by Council member Zaske to
approve the minutes with the change. A voice votewas taken and the minutes from the June
13, 2018 meeting was approved.

PUBLIC COMMENT
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Health and Human Services 2019 to 2023 Capital Improvement Requests
Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt presented the preliminary Capital
Improvement Plan to the Council. The plan includes monies allocated to replace a
vehicle in the Site Transportation Program and equipment for the Nutrition Programs.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Council members reviewed the ADRC Financial report for May 2018.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Employment Trends and Issues for Individuals with Disabilities Subcommittee
Recommendations
Chair Anderson informed the Council of the makeup of the Employment Trends and
Issues for Individuals with Disabilities Subcommittee. Council member Zaske stated
what the subcommittee recommendations focus on expanding the current services
provided by the Disability Benefit Specialists within the ADRC through additional follow
up regarding employment and benefits. There will also be additional contact with the
Transportation Commission regarding the transportation needs for employment. The
group has decided to no longer meet unless it is deemed necessary.

4. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council member reviewed the May Information and Assistance Update Sheet. In the
month of May, there were four enrollments into Inclusa and one disenrollment; there
were two enrollments into Care Wisconsin and no disenrollments; there were two
enrollments into IRIS and no disenrollments.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Out of County and Weekend Senior Center Transportation Requests
There were three transportation requests presented to the Council for approval.
July 28: River Falls to St. Paul utilizing the Hudson van
Aug. 3: Hudson to Stillwater
Aug. 17: Hudson to Belle Vinez, River Falls
A motion was made to approve the requests by Council member Pelnar; and
seconded by Council member Schrank; motion carried.

6. 2018 St. Croix County Outstanding Older Adult Nomination Information
Beckman informed the Council nominations are being accepted for the Outstanding
Older Adult for St. Croix County. Council members received the nomination form and
informed that the nominees would be recognized on Friday, July 20 under the tent at
Croix Court during the St. Croix County Fair.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
National Alliance on Mental Illness presentation
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Council member Pelnar informed the Council there would be a meeting for People's First St.
Croix County on June 20 to discuss transportation within the county. The meeting will be held
at Sunshine Courts - Community Room, 370 Odanah Ave, New Richmond.
Beckman informed the Council that the Senior Farmers Market Voucher distribution has started.
A list of distribution locations and times was printed in the ADRC News, the County Facebook
page and distributed to each of the Senior Nutrition Sites.
Beckman updated the Council regarding the filling of position vacancies - Amy Roemhild,
Community Support Coordinator and Ella Weber, Deer Park Nutrition Program Manager.
Currently there are two Nutrition Program Cook Aide openings - Deer Park and Woodville.
The Countywide Senior Picnic will be held on Friday, June 16 at the Roberts Park Building
from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The event is open to the public with a picnic style meal and music.
The Hudson Senior Center card players will be awarded the traveling trophy for winning the
Annual Countywide Card Tournament.
