APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting June 12, 2019 4:00 PM
Council on Aging and Disabilities Chair Anderson asked if there were any corrections,
additions, or deletions to the minutes. A motion to approve the June 12, 2019 minutes
was made by Council member Schrank; seconded by Council member Brunner; motion
carried.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Council Chair Anderson opened the floor for public comment. There was no public comment
presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. St. Croix County Demographic Data Presentation
Administrator Beckman informed the Council he reached out to Eric Grosso,
Demographer/Program Data Analyst Department of Health Services Bureau of Aging and
Disability Resource, who provided the Council with a power point presentation regarding
census demographics for those 60 and over in Wisconsin and individuals with a
disability. Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
HHS Financial Manager Strenke introduced herself to the Council. She reviewed the
fiscal report with the Council members. The expense is on track for the year and revenue
is slightly behind due to the transition and reporting.

3. Home Delivered and Congregate Meal Six Month Statistics for 2019
Administrator Beckman reviewed the 6 month statistics for Congregate and Home-
Delivered program. The number of meals for both Home-Delivered and Congregate
Dining for 2019 are lower than those provided in 2018 due to the multiple snow days in
the first quarter. Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council members reviewed the June 2019 and July 2019 Information and Assistance
report. Within the months of June and July there fourteen enrollments into Inclusa and
four disenrollment; there was one enrollment into Care Wisconsin and no disenrollments;
there was one enrollments into IRIS-Connections and no disenrollments; there were no
enrollments or disenrollments into IRIS-TMG or IRIS-Consumer Direct.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Aging and Disability Resource Center St. Croix County Fair Report
Administrator Beckman informed the Council that there were nine Outstanding Older
Adults honored on Friday, July 19. Despite the hot weather on Friday, all the honorees
attended to receive their certificates and recognition. The silent auction was a success
for those Senior Center Boards that but together baskets and the juice/popcorn/water
sales were higher than the previous year. Overall the fair went rather well and we look
forward to next year.
6. Out of County and Weekend Senior Center Transportation Requests
There were a couple of Out of County/Weekend Transportation requests presented for
approval.
August 9 - Woodville to Minneapolis
August 16 - Hudson to Pepin
August 16 - Roberts to Red Wind
September 5 - Woodville to Durand
A motion to approve the requests was made by Council Member Schrank and seconded
by Council member Brue; motion carried.
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Council Chair Anderson asked if anyone had any requests for future agenda items. It was
suggested to have Care Wisconsin, the other Managed Care Organization for St. Croix County,
present at the next meeting.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
The Annual Caregiver Conference will be held on Thursday, September 26 and Friday,
September 27. There will be a professional day on Thursday and an evening session for
caregivers on Thursday night. Friday will be an all day seminar with break out sessions with
Teepa Snow as the keynote speaker.
The new mini bus for New Richmond arrived earlier in the week. It needs to be inspected
before it can be put into service. Once it is cleared the current New Richmond mini bus will
be retired from the fleet and sold on the state auction site.
