APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting September 13, 2019 8:30 AM
Council on Aging and Disabilities Chair Anderson asked if there were any corrections,
additions, or deletions to the minutes. A motion to approve the September 13, 2019
minutes was made by Council member Schrank; seconded by Council member Brunner;
motion carried.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Council Chair Anderson opened the floor for public comment. There was no public comment
presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Transportation Coordination with Hudson
Hospital and Clinic
Beckman informed the Council that the driver for Hudson Hospital and Clinic retired.
Patients were given information such as the ADRC, Hudson Senior Center and other
transportation providers. The Hudson Senior Center has received 10-12 calls a day and
is only able to cover four or five rides a week on top of the current rides. Discussion
followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. 2019 Aging Unit Plan Self-Assessment
Beckman reviewed the executive summary from Jane Mahoney, Older Americans Act
Consultant-Caregiver Support Specialist through Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging
Resources, Inc.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Johnson reviewed the September 2019 Financial Report with the Council.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council members reviewed the September 2019 Information and Assistance report.
There were five enrollments into Inclusa and one disenrollment; there were no
enrollments into Care Wisconsin and two disenrollments; there were two enrollments
into IRIS-TMG and no disenrollments; there were no enrollments or disenrollments into
IRIS-Consumer Direct or IRIS-Connections.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Out of County and Weekend Senior Center Transportation Requests
There were a couple of Out of County/Weekend Transportation requests presented for
approval.
October 18: Roberts to Spring Valley
October 26: River Falls to Bloomington, MN
November 8: Hudson to Minneapolis, MN
November 15: Hudson to Bloomington, MN
A motion to approve the requests was made by Council member by Council member
Schrank; seconded by Council member Brue; motion carried.
RESULT: APPROVED \[UNANIMOUS\]

6. 13th Annual Caregiver Conference Report
Beckman informed the Council that the Caregiver Conference was very successful this
year. The Friday event was sold out; the Professional Day on Thursday was well attended
and the Thursday evening session for caregiver had over 40 in attendance. The keynote
speaker was Teepa Snow and there were many vendors for attendees to visit and gather
information.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Council Chair Anderson asked if anyone had any requests for future agenda items. Council
member Zaske requested a presentation regarding the WITC event program for individuals with
disabilities.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Beckman informed the Council that the Secret Santa program will be held again this year. The
program recently received a check from Knights of Columbus from their tootsie roll sales with
another check to follow. The United Way Mobile Food Pantry truck will be expanding to
Glenwood City with the first day on October 30th and will be held the 3rd Wednesday of
every month after that. He also mentioned that the 211 program through United Way is up
and running.
