Due to Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and Governor Ever's Safer at Home Executive Order
#28, Council on Aging and Disabilities members are encouraged to attend the meeting via the
use of technology utilizing the Zoom platform.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting March 13, 2020 8:30 AM
Council on Aging and Disabilities Conveyor Wakeen asked if there were any corrections,
additions, or deletions to the minutes. A motion to approve the March 13, 2020 minutes
was made by Council member Brunner; seconded by Council member Richert; motion
carried.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Council on Aging and Disabilities Conveyor Wakeen opened the floor for public comment.
There was no public comment presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Election of Council on Aging and Disabilities Chair
Council on Aging and Disabilities (COAD) Convener Wakeen asked if there any
nominations for Council Chair. Supervisor Feidler nominated Supervisor Dave Ostness;
seconded by Council member Brue. No other nominations were made and a voice vote
was taken. The election of Dave Ostness as COAD was approved.
RESULT: APPROVED \[10 TO 0\]

2. Election of Council on Aging and Disabilities Vice Chair
Council Chair Ostness asked for nominations for the COAD Vice-Chair. Council member
Richert nominated Council member Natalie Rivard; seconded by Council member
Brunner. There no other nominations made and a voice vote was taken. The election of
Natalie Rivard as COAD Vice Chair was approved.

3. Plan for the Council on Aging and Disabilities Member Orientation
ADRC Administrator Beckman mentioned that orientation will be conducted with ADRC
staff attending a Council meeting to present their program and introduce themselves.
The format would start in June.

4. COVID-19 Presentation
Former Public Health Director, Deb Lindeman provided an overview regarding COVID-19
for the Council members. She provided a power point presentation regarding the
current statistics and what St. Croix County Public is doing. It was shared that the care
facilities in St. Croix County are screening staff, but not testing at this time. Discussion
followed.

5. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Health and Human Services Fiscal Manager Strenke reviewed the April 2020 ADRC
Financial report with the Council. Strenke mentioned that the audit of the 2019 books is
scheduled for May.

6. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council members review the April Information and Assistance report. In the month of
April there were six enrollments into Inclusa and three disenrollments; there were no
enrollments or disenrollments into Care Wisconsin; there were two enrollments into IRIS-
TMG and one disenrollment; there were no enrollments or disenrollments for either IRIS-
Connections or IRIS-Consumer Direct.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
7. 2020 Aging and Disability Resource Center events & Council on Aging and
Disabilities meeting dates
The Council members received a copy of the 2020 Calendar of Events and meetings.
There was discussion on the when the Council meetings will be held and the Council
members wished to continue meeting the 2nd Friday of the month from 8:30 am - 10:30
am. The location will be determined due to COVID-19.
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Council Chair Ostness asked if anyone had any future agenda items. It was suggested to have
one of the Information and Assistance Specialists and the Dementia Care Specialist provide a
presentation regarding their respective programs.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
The new Health and Human Services Director has been hired and will be introduced at the June
Council meeting.
