APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting August 14, 2020 8:30 AM
Council on Aging and Disabilities Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections,
additions, or deletions to the minutes. There were no changes presented, minutes stand
as printed.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
COAD Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment. There were no comments presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. COVID-19 Presentation
Deb Lindeman, St. Croix County Public Health, provided the Council with the an update
regarding COVID-19.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Aging and Disability Resource Center Disability Benefit Specialist Program
Presentation
Carolyn & Laurel presented information on the Disability Benefit Specialist program and
their current case load. Reviewed the program guidelines and how they are meeting the
need of consumers during COVID.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Aging and Disability Resource Center Elder Benefit Specialist Program Presentation
Mike and Liza presented information on the Elder Benefit Specialist program. Reviewed
the program guidelines and how they are meeting the need of consumers during COVID.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Review of 2021 Requested Operating Budgets
Fay Strenke reviewed the 2021 proposed budget. Discussion was held.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council members received the August 2020 Information and Assistance reports. During
August there were four enrollments into Inclusa; there were five disenrollments; there
were no enrollments into Care Wisconsin and one enrollment; there were six enrollments
into IRIS-TMG and three disenrollments; there were no enrollments or disenrollments
into IRIS-Connections or IRIS-Consumer Direct.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Council Chair Ostness asked if anyone had any future agenda items. The program coordinators
for the Nutrition and Caregiver Programs will provide an overview of their programs in October.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
ADRC Administrator Beckman informed the Council members that the Nutrition Advisory
Council will be meeting on September 16 in New Richmond.
ADRC Adminstrator Beckman mentioned a Thank You for Tara Murdzek, Caregiver Support
Coordinator
