NOTICE
Due to Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Council on Aging and Disabilities members are
encouraged to attend the meeting via the use of technology utilizing Zoom platform.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting September 11, 2020 8:30 AM
Council on Aging and Disabilities Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections,
additions, or deletions to the minutes. Since there were no changes presented, minutes
stand as printed.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
COAD Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment. There were no comments presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. COVID-19 Presentation
Kelli Engen, Public Health Officer, provided the Council with a review of the current
numbers regarding COVID-19.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Aging and Disability Resource Center Outreach Coordinator Presentation
Brandy Zeuli, Outreach Coordinator, introduced herself and provided an overview of the
Home-Delivered Meal program. She discussed how the program has changed during
the pandemic.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Aging and Disability Resource Center Caregiver Support Program Presentation
Tara Murdzek, Caregiver Support Program Coordinator, introduced herself and provided
an overview of the programs she oversees.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
ADRC Administrator Beckman read a report from Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager,
informing the Council members that even though revenue from donations is not in line
with budget, the expenses are lower as well.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council members received the September 2020 Information and Assistance report.
During September there were three enrollments into Inclusa; there were no
disenrollments; there were no enrollments or disenrollments for Care Wisconsin; there
were six enrollments into IRIS-TMG and one disenrollment; there were no enrollments or
disenrollments into IRIS-Connections or IRIS-Consumer Direct. A new IRIS program
started in October 1 in St. Croix County.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Randi Hanson, Nutrition Program Coordinator and Adult Protective Services will provide a
presentation in November.
It was suggested to have the St. Croix County Sheriff present
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
ADRC Administrator Beckman announced that in collaboration with United Way and the
Veteran's Services Office, a pop up pantry will be set up on Veterans Day at the St. Croix County
Services Center. United Way is working on a flyer to provide to individuals with the option to
deliver or pick up. Beckman also informed the Council t he United Way employee campaign
will be kicking off Monday, October 12.
Beckman mentioned the Hudson Senior Center is currently looking for a new location in the
area; Glenwood City Senior Center will be temporarily transitioned to a different location during
the building of the new Community Building and the New Richmond Senior Center is still
working with the local VFW for a new Senior Center at Freedom Park.
Supervisor Feidler announced that the joint conference with Public Protection Committee
has been postponed to a later date in 2021.
HHS Director Rohert announced that the Behavioral Health Administrator position has been
filled by Sharlene Lopez. She will be starting November 2.
