APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting October 9, 2020 8:30 AM
Council on Aging and Disabilities Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections,
additions, or deletions to the minutes. Since there were no changes presented, the
minutes stand as printed.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
COAD Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment. There were no comments presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. COVID-19 Presentation
Elle Klasen, St. Croix County Public Health - Emergency Preparedness Program Specialist,
provided the Council with a review of the current numbers regarding COVID-19.
Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Aging and Disability Resource Center Nutrition Program Coordinator Presentation
Randi Hanson, ADRC Nutrition Program Coordinator, presented information to the
Council members regarding the purpose of the Elderly Nutrition Program, locations, and
some statistics. Currently the Elderly Nutrition Sites are closed and have been since
March. Participants are either receiving meals through the Grab-N-Go option or Home-
Delivered Meals. At this time there is no reopen date, the sites continue to follow the
guidelines from Public Health. Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Adult Protective Services Presentation
Shawn Post-Priller and Bonnie Edlund, Adult Protective Services Social Workers,
presented information to the Council regarding the Adult Protective Services in St. Croix
County. They provided up-to-date statistics regarding Guardianships/Protective
Placements and inquiries, investigations and annual Protective Placement reviews.
Council members received a handout that laid out the program. Discussion followed.

4. 85.21 Specialized Transportation Assistance 2020 Grant Application
Amy Roemhild, ADRC Community Services Coordinator, reviewed a power point
presentation regarding the 2021 85.21 Grant Application. Roemhild reviewed the five
projects for the 2021 Grant application. Information regarding the upcoming public
hearing was shared.
A motion to approve the 2021 85.21 Grant Application was presented by Supervisor
Leaf and seconded by Council member Meyer; motion carried.

5. Information and Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor Update Sheet
Council member received the October 2020 Information and Assistance report. During
October there were six enrollments into Inclusa; there were no disenrollments; there
were no enrollments or disenrollments into Care Wisconsin (My Choice Wiscsonsin);
there were two enrollments into TMG-IRSI and no disenrollments; there no enrollments
or disenrollments into IRIS-Connections or IRIS-Consumer Direct.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager, reviewed the October 2020 Financial Report. She
reported that the revenue and expenses are on track.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Vice Chair Rivard asked if there were any suggestions for future agenda items. ADRC
Administrator Beckman mentioned inviting either Inclusa and My Choice Wisconsin (formerly
known as Care WI) and someone from each of the IRIS programs. He also mentioned inviting
the Veterans Services Office staff to present. It was suggested to have the Sheriff and Judge
Needham present on elder concerns they are seeing in their line of work. Council member Brue
asked about depression and the elderly especially during this time. Beckman stated a member
of the Behavioral Health staff could present and HHS Director Rohert mentioned introducing the
new Behavioral Health Supervisor at the same time.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
The ADRC will still have the Secret Santa Program. Names and address can be provided to Amy
Roemhild by December 7. Due to COVID, instead of delivering gift bags participants will receive
a Christmas card with gift card in the mail.
Council member Brunner announced that Immaculate Conception will be providing a
Thanksgiving meal via drive through or deliver. Reservations need to be made by calling
Rhonda at 715-246-4652.
On Veterans Day, the United Way partnered with the St. Croix County Veterans Office and
provided 83 food boxes to local veterans through the United Way Mobile Pantry Program.
There are boxes still available at the VSO office.
HHS Director Bob Rohert announced that a new Behavioral Health Supervisor has been
hired and started the first part of November.
