Others present in person Brad Beckman, ADRC Administrator; Bob Rohert, HHS Director APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting January 8, 2021 8:30 AM COAD Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections, additions, or deletions to the minutes. Chair Ostness approved the minutes as written. RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT COAD Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment. Seeing none he proceeded with the meeting. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports HHS Fiscal Manager Strenke reviewed the February 2021 Financial Report. Strenke explained due to less expenses in 2020, there are excess grant dollars from the Specialized Transportation that will be moved to the 85.21 Trust account. The account is designated to assist in purchasing replacement vehicles. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Presentation by My Choice WI - Managed Care Organization for Family Care Jennifer Schemenauer, My Choice WI, presented information regarding My Choice WI and services provided in St. Croix County. Stacey Stephens, My Choice WI, oversees staff who work in St. Croix, Dunn, and Pierce Counties. Schemenauer provided the Council with some background on My Choice WI and the recent merger with another Managed Care Organization. Currently there are 47 members from St. Croix County enrolled in My Choice WI with 35 of them living in St. Croix and the remaining in outside counties. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Presentation by United Way St. Croix Valley 211 Program Jessica Neuman, United Way 2-1-1 Wisconsin, presented information regarding 211 programs and services. Neuma provided information regarding the local and state response due to COVID-19 and new programs that have been created. Discussing followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. COVID-19 Presentation Public Health Epedemologist, Elizabeth Klasen, presented information to the Council regarding current numbers and vaccination. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. Home Delivered and Congregate Meal Statistics for 2020 The Council members received a copy of the 2019-2020 year to date report for the Nutrition Program - Home-delivered and Congregate. Due to COVID-19, the Congregate dining sites have been closed since March of 2020 there is a big decrease on that side, however the Home-delivered program increased enough to almost cover the gap. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS COAD Chair Ostness asked if there were any suggestions for future agenda items. Beckman informed the Council that St. Croix County Sheriff Knudson will discuss trends that law enforcement is seeing with the aging population. Jane Mahoney, Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, Inc will provide Council with an overview the upcoming 2022-2024 Aging Unit Plan. ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Mary Ellen Brue's last meeting will be April 2021. Beckman and Council Chair Ostness will be reviewing the applications received and will conduct interviews next week. HHS Director Rohert informed the Council that the St. Croix County Health Center is starting to allow for visitors.
