i. Creating Chapter 21— St. Croix County Municipal Solid Waste Reduction,
Recovery & Recycling Ordinance and;
ii. Repealing Chapter 41 Metal or Glass; Chapter 43 Recycling Ordinance, as
amended on December 1994 and October 2003; and Chapter 44 Storage of
Waste Tires
2. Public Hearing — 7:30 p.m.
a) The St. Croix County Farmland Preservation Plan & Agriculture Element of the
Comprehensive Plan, covering 2012 -2027.

ROLL CALL - Members Present: Supervisors Steve Hermsen, Sharon Norton-Bauman, Bill
Peavey, Buzz Marzolf and FSA Representative Ken Graf Robert Shearer was absent and excusell
James Stauffer and Lorin Sather arrived late.
STAFF PRESENT: Ellen Denter, Brett Budrow, Jennifer Havens, Pete Kling, Bob Heise, Ryan
Sterry, Jeff Lueck and Pat Thompson.
GUESTS: County Board Chair Daryl Standafer, Supervisors Roger Rebholz, Linda Luckey, Brian
Hurtgen and Joe Hurtgen. From the public, 65 guests signed in.
BUSINESS ITEMS
Staff answered questions regarding the proposed ordinance.
Chair Hermsen asked for any hearing comments. Approximately eighteen people spoke with
additional written comments received prior to the hearing. Chair Hermsen closed the public hearing at
7:52 p.m.
Chair Hennsen called for a break at 7:52 p.m.
The Committee reconvened at 8:10 p.m.

2) The St. Croix County Farmland Preservation Plan & Agriculture Element of the Comprehensive Plan,
covering 2012-2027:
91, Subchapter 11 Wis. Statutes, and the agricultural element required by Section 66.1001(2) Wis.
Statutes. The plan states the county's goals and policies regarding farmland preservation areas and
agricultural development in the county. It includes text, maps and data identifying areas of the county
most suitable for farmland preservation and the trends and future expectations of agriculture in the
county.
Staff answered questions regarding the proposed plan.
Chair Hermsen asked for any hearing comments. Approximately ten people spoke with additional
written comments received prior to the hearing. Chair Hermsen closed the public hearing.
The Committee attended and participated in the public hearing. No action was taken
