Reconvene into open session to take any actions. SUBMITTED BY: Debra Kathan, Personnel Director DATE: October 23, 2002 COPIES TO: County Board Office, County Clerk, News Media, Notice Board, Committee Members PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING Official Date: October 29, 2002 Location: Government Center, Hudson The Personnel Committee meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Chairman Daryl Standafer. Members present: Standafer, Dick King, Leon Berenschot, Julie Speer, and Stan Krueger. Also present: Debra Kathan and Chuck Whiting. Moved (Berenschot, King) and approved to adopt the agenda as presented. Moved (Berenschot, King) and approved to accept the minutes of the October 22 meeting. The next meeting was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on November 4 at the Government Center. The Committee will be bargaining with the GGSS Union employees. Motion (King, Berenschot) to go into closed session per WI. Stat. 19.85 (1) c for the purpose of continuing bargaining strategy regarding union and non -union compensation issues. Roll call vote: all aye; moved into closed session at 8:33 a.m. Moved (King, Berenschot) and approved to come out of closed session at 8:53 a.m. Standafer announced that in actions taken in closed session, the Personnel Committee is recommending to the Finance Committee that new health insurance rates be implemented in December for January coverage. These rates would reflect a 90/10 premium division for the non - represented employees and an additional 10% of the rate increase for the unionized employees, per current contract stipulations. Furthermore, Standafer announced that the Personnel Committee will be recommending to the County Board that they approve a three percent (3 %) across - the -board wage increase for non- represented employees, effective January 1, 2003. Both issues were recommended unanimously by the Personnel Committee. Standafer adjourned the meeting at 8:55 a.m. Respectfully submitted, Julie Speer, Secretary
