BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Monthly Finance Report
Kathy Rineck updated the monthly financial report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Highway Department Monthly Update
Rob Krejci noted the County weight restrictions were lifted. Staff has been completing
woody vegetation control and other deferred maintenance throughout the winter
months.
Staffing Update-Announced the retirement of Dave Becker. The Highway Department
has one foreman position and two operator positions open
Highway Department Safety Day April 3-Rob Krejci invited the Transportation
Committee to the Highway Department Safety Day
Work Zone Week April 15-19- The Highway Department is planning to promote the
2024 Work Zone Awareness Week
2024 Construction Projects/Update - Staff reviewed the proposed 2024 Construction
Schedule. Krejci noted the WisDOT contractor had delayed the start of the CTH
A/McCutcheon Road project until late July or early August.
Safe Highways for All/Update - St. Croix, Dunn and Eau Claire County continue to
work on this Federal Grant funded project.
CTH I/E Intersection Evaluation Update - Staff reviewed the status of the status of the
Highway Safety Improvement Project application.

3. Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP) Overview
Staff reviewed the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Agricultural Roads
Improvement Program to enhance local roads to handle heavy loads.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Sructures 6-20 feet Program Overview
Staff has attended State Bridge Training. The 52 local structures in St. Croix County have
been inspected.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Amendment to Chapter 79 of the St. Croix County Code of Ordinances - All-Terrain
and Utility Terrain Vehicle Route Ordinance
Motion by VanSomeren/Swanepoel to add the ATV route to Chapter 79 ATV/UTV
Routes. Motion carried.
