of the Transportation Committee. Motion carried.

2. Election of Vice Chair
Vice Chair-Nomination by Bob Swanepoel/Richard Ottino to elect Jerry VanSomeren as
Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee. Motion carried.

3. Establish Meeting Schedule
The Committee voted to continue with the same schedule for Transportation Committee
meetings.
The Transportation Committee will meet every third Monday at 8:30 am at the Baldwin
Highway Facility.

4. Monthly Financial Report
Kathy Rineck reviewed the Financial Report

5. Highway Department Monthly Report
Staffing Update- The Highway Department is currently fully staffed.
Wisconsin County Highway Association Summer Road School-Reviewed the Summer
Road School details.
2024 Construction Project Update-Reviewed the numerous road projects currently in
progress.
Project Carryover Funding-
Equipment Procurement Challenges-Discussed the long lead times and delays on
equipment
County Trunk E/County Trunk I Intersection Project Update-Received a grant for a
roundabout scheduled for 2028
County Trunk Y/50th Avenue Town of Rush River-Discussed the Town of Rush River's
request of jurisdictional transfer of 50th Avenue (County Road T to US Highway 63)
for County Road Y (County Road N to County Road YY)
RESULT: DISCUSSED
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
County Road Y and 50th Avenue, Town of Rush River road upgrades.
Review upgrade of Badlands Road and designate as a County Highway.
