BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Monthly Financial Report
Tim Ramberg and Kathy Rineck reviewed the Highway Department monthly financial
report and budget preparations.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Hammond Facility and Ad Hoc Committee Update
Tim Ramberg and Todd Rehnelt gave an update on the Hammond Facility. The
selections for the Ad-Hoc Committee are to be presented to the County Board for final
approval.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Transit Planning Subcommittee Update
Dave Ostness updated the Committee on Transit Planning. The Subcommittee will be
presenting information to the County Committees, Towns, Cities, Villages and various
organizations in the area.

4. Review Joint Bicycle/Pedestrian Meeting held June 22, 2016, with Community
Development
Todd Rehnelt distributed an updated Draft Funding & Implementation Strategy
document. The Transportation Committee and the Community Development Committee
plans to meet July 13, 2016 to review the contents.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Review & Consider County Trunk Highway E, Houlton Hill, Alternatives
Motion made by Ostness/Nelson to remove the bike signs on the top and bottom of the
County Trunk Highway E hill.
Motion carried.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
-Park and Ride update on various locations in the County from WisDOT.
-Work Zone Safety Speed Ordinance
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Staff is working on the Highway Department and County Surveyor annual report presentation for
the County Board.
Tim Ramberg updated the Committee regarding the WisDOT Park and Ride agreement.
A Work Zone Safety media event is scheduled for July 12, 2:30 pm at the St. Croix River
Crossing, State Highway 64.
The Joint Committee meeting with the Community Development Committee is scheduled for
Wednesday, July 12, 4:00 pm, Baldwin.
The Wisconsin Counties Association is planning a media event "Transportation Town Hall" on
September 29, at a location yet to be determined.
Tim Ramberg reviewed the Highway Department's involvement in relation to the windmills in
the Town of Forest.
