Transportation Committee – Regular Meeting – July 11, 2016 8:30 AM RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Consider Park and Ride Maintenance Agreement Tom Beekman and Tim Ramberg reviewed the Park and Ride Maintenance Agreements for I94/County Road 'T' and the State Highway 35/State Highway 64 areas. Motion made by David Peterson/Scott Nelson to approve the agreements presented at the meeting, pending review from Corporation Counsel. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: David Peterson, Supervisor SECONDER: Scott Nelson, Supervisor AYES: Scott Nelson, David Peterson, William Peavey EXCUSED: Ryan S. Sicard, Dave Ostness 2. Monthly Financial Report Tim Ramberg and Robert Mittet reviewed the financial report RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. 2017 Budget Discussion Tim Ramberg and Robert Mittet reviewed a draft of the budget, along with requested add backs. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Hammond Facility and Ad Hoc Committee Update The Transportation Committee scheduled August 15, 2016, 8:30 am, for the Ad Hoc Transportation Space Needs Facility Planning Committee meeting to be held at the Hammond Highway Office. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. Transit Planning Subcommittee Update Scott Nelson updated the Committee regarding the feasibility study, survey and the presentations made to the Towns Association and the Human Services Network of St. Croix Valley. RESULT: DISCUSSED 6. Review July 13 Joint Bicycle/Pedestrian Meeting with Community Development The Joint Committee passed a motion to approve moving forward with the Draft Funding & Implementation Strategy for Open Houses and Stakeholder Workshop with recommended changes. The Traffic Safety Commission also reviewed the portion of the documents pertaining to recommendations regarding highway striping lane widths. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Work Zone safety speed ordinance Budget review ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE A Transportation Town Hall meeting is planned for September 29, 2016. Time and location to be determined.
