1. Transportation Committee – Regular Meeting – December 12, 2016 8:00 AM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Monthly Financial Report
Tim Ramberg and Kathy Rineck reviewed the financial report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Transit Planning Sub Committee Update
Dave Ostness shared information regarding transit-planning. The Subcommittee is
planning to update the Power Point presentation. The West Central Wisconsin Regional
Planning Commission distributed a draft analysis of transit information.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Ad Hoc Transportation Space Needs Facility Planning Committee Update
Todd Rehnelt reviewed the Ad Hoc Transportation Space Needs Planning Committee
meeting. Phase I proposals are due on January 10, 2017. The Committee is scheduled to
meet on January 24 to review proposals for interviews. Phase I interviews are sch eduled
for January 30-31, 2017.

4. Review and Consider Highway Department 2017-2021 Business Plan & Captial
Investment Plan
Tim Ramberg reviewed the 2017-2021 Business Plan and the Capital Investment Plan.
Motion made by Sicard/Ostness to approve the 2017-2021 Business Plan and Capital
Investment Plan as presented. Motion carried.
Follow up discussion took place emphasizing that the operational policies, work hours
and work rules need to support the business plan and budget.

5. Review the WisDOT 2017-2022 Improvement Program
Tim Ramberg gave an overview of the WisDOT 2017-2022 Improvement Program. The
map is scheduled to go on the Highway Department page of the St. Croix County website
along with a link to the WisDot home page.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. Review the Highway Department Priority List of Initiatives
Tim Ramberg reviewed a prioritized list of over 34 initiatives that are in an addition to
the business plan core services.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
7. Review and Consider County Trunk Highway GG Sales Study and Schedule of Land
Interest
Tim Ramberg and Jeff Durkee reviewed the Sales Study and Schedule of Land Interest
for County Road GG. Motion made by Sicard/Nelson to approve the study and land
interest schedule as amended and presented. Motion carried.

Tim Ramberg introduced Joel Allen, Patrol Superintendent, to the Committee.
Dave Ostness distributed Wisconsin County Highway and NACO information.
WCHA Winter Highway Conference is January 16-18, 2017.
