Transportation Committee Regular August 14, 2017 5:00 PM RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Monthly Financial Report Kathy Rineck gave an overview of the financial report. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. 2018 Department Budget Update Staffed reviewed the Highway Department Budget and the State preliminary budget. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Ad Hoc Building Committee Update Corporation Counsel approved the Request For Proposals-Construction Management Services for the proposed Highway Department Facility. Staff is meeting with the Village of Baldwin to review the CSM. The closing date on the land in the Village of Baldwin is scheduled for early October. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Transit Planning Subcommittee Update The Transit Planning Subcommittee is scheduled to host a workshop at their next meeting on September 14, 2017. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. Highway Department Initiatives Update Staff reviewed the Initiatives list with the Committee. The Transportation Committee agreed to review this list quarterly. RESULT: DISCUSSED 6. Review and Consider St. Croix County Tourist Orientated Directional Signs (TODS) Policy Rob Krejci reviewed St. Croix County Tourist Orientated Directional Sign policy. Motion made by Ostness/Peterson to move forward with the Tourist Orientated Directional Sign policy following State Statue. Motion carried. Sicard REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS County and State Budget Update ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Dave Ostness has been reappointed to the NACO Transportation Committee Staff has been contacted about the future of the current Highway Facility Staff is planning to attend the Public Informational Meeting in Hudson on September 19, regarding Exit 4, Carmichael Road Committee of the Whole meets October 11, 2017 5:00 pm ADJOURN DATE OF NEXT MEETING
