1. Monthly Financial Report
Kathy Rineck gave an overview of the financial report.

2. Ad Hoc Building Committee Update
Bid #1-Structural Steel was sent out January 8, 2018. The bid opening is scheduled for
February 8, 2018.
Bid #2-will be published in February 2018.
Staff met with CBS Squared and Kraus-Anderson to finalize building plans.

3. Transit Planning Subcommittee Update
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Wisconsin DOT Interstate 94 2021-2022 Bridge Replacement Projects
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation staff presented information regarding
bridge replacements along Interstate 94. This project is scheduled for 2021-2022.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Wisconsin DOT-St. Croix County Bridge Posting Update
Jeff Durkee noted three bridges on St. Croix County roads are now required to be posted
at 25 Ton Weight Limit for Specialized Hauling Vehicles by March 31, 2018. These
bridges include County Trunk Highway B at Boston Road, County Trunk Highway T,
south of 18th Avenue, County Trunk Highway YY and between State Highway 63 and
County Trunk Highway Y.

6. Discuss Wisconsin ATV Law Changes
Rob Krejci reviewed a new ordinance for ATVs. Towns, Cities and Villages are allowed
to have ATVs travel on roads in their jurisdiction if the speed limit is under 35 miles per
hour.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
7. Discuss the Formation of a Transit Commission
Dave Ostness, Chair of the Transit Planning Subcommittee, presented information
regarding the formation of a Transit Commission. The Subcommittee is working on a
Request For Information to review potential transit providers. Supervisor Ostness
indicated the funding and grant opportunities are more favorable towards a Transit
Commission. The Transportation Committee agreed to meet on February 8, 8:00 am in
Hudson to approve a Resolution for the Formation of a Transit Commission which will
be sent to the County Board for approval on February 8, 2018.

Rob Krejci announced the retirement of Richard Hesselink and Richard Colbeth.
WCHA Winter Road School is January 15-17, 2018. Staff members are planning to attend.
The Highway Department is presently training and using the new ERP software.
