BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Monthly Financial Report
Kathy Rineck gave an overview of the financial report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Ad Hoc Building Committee Update
Todd Rehnelt updated the Committee on the proposed bidding schedule. The
groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for March 29, 11:00 AM, Baldwin.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Transit Planning Subcommittee Update
Dave Ostness provided an update on the Transit Planning Subcommittee including information
regarding transit systems throughout the State.

4. Highway Department Report
Staff discussed-electronic time cards, weight restrictions on County Roads, which are listed on
the County website, and the winter maintenance budget which has exceeded the 5 year average
that may affect the 2018 Highway Department summer maintenance budget.

5. Review and Discuss Highway Initiatives
Rob Krejci provided an update on the Highway Department Initiatives. The Committee
discussed invasive species, route optimization and other scheduled tasks.

6. Bridge Posting Update
Jeff Durkee provided an update on the bridges with the new postings requirements in St.
Croix County that were required to have reduced loadings posted by the end of March,
2018. Durkee indicated that St. Croix County has been working with the WisDOT to
develop a plan of action to help mitigate the posting requirements by modifying the
structures. Durkee indicated that WisDOT was willing to hold off reducing the load
posting on the structures as we determine a potential solution.

7. 2018 Construction Schedule Update
Rob Krejci provided an update on the proposed 2018 construction/maintenance projects.
A project list will be available on the County website in the upcoming weeks.
