1. Transportation Committee Regular Meeting November 19, 2018 8:30 AM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Financial Report for November 2018
Kathy Rineck gave an overview of the Highway Department finances and also the
Highway Department Report and how we will be making adjustments in the new Oracle
accounting system in 2019 to help improve reporting.

2. Review ATV Route Designation Application for Public Roadways
Staff reviewed the Route Designation application information. The information will be
sent to County Entities.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Ad Hoc Transportation Committee Report
Staff updated the Committee on the Baldwin Facility. Floors are currently being poured.
Work will continue indoors throughout the winter months.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Transit Commission Report
The next Transit Commission meeting is January 10, 2019.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Highway Department Report
RT Vision (electronic time cards) is starting today at the Highway Department.
Human Capital Management is starting today throughout St. Croix County.
Road School is scheduled January 14-16, 2019. Work Zone Safety will be a major
topic.
The State plans to review the County Trunk Highway I corridor as part of a HSIP
Highway Safety Improvement Program.
A running event is scheduled for the summer of 2019 which will shut down part of
County Road E for a very short period of time. Electronic message boards will be
posted well in advance advising motorists of the closure.

6. Review & Discuss Highway Department Initiatives
Rob Krejci reviewed the Initiatives list. Staff will be removing completed projects and
adding new initiatives.

7. Load Posting Update Structure P-55-933 CTH JJ
Staff will be lowering the load posting to this structure to 15 tons due to section loss on
the bridge structure. Plans are in process to stabilize the structure and repair the bridge
in 2019. The scheduled repairs will allow the County to remove the current 15-ton load
posting.

8. STP Rural/Urban/Local Bridge Program Update
WisDot is reviewing the Bridge Program.

9. Review January & February Transportation Committee Dates
The January Transportation Committee meeting has been cancelled. The February
Transportation Committee meeting is scheduled for February 11, 2019, 8:30 AM, in the
County Board Room, Hudson, WI.
