1. Transportation Committee – Regular Meeting – July 19, 2021 8:30 AM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Monthly Financial Report
Kathy Rineck reviewed the monthly Financial Report. Rob Krejci noted that County Road
J and County Road SS will be paved in 2021.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Highway Department Report
SB508/AB506 Warning lamps on Highway Vehicles Update-staff attended the hearing
and testified in Madison in support of SB508 which would allow green warning lights on
municipal maintenance vehicles
Work Zone Legislation Update-Krejci provided an update on other proposed work zone
legislation.
County Highway Project Update-discussed limited hot mix availability; County Road J &
SS are scheduled to be paved in 2021; fog sealing is complete
County Highway Accident Report Update-Krejci discussed accidents that recently
occurred at County Road N/US 63 and County Road E/290th Street.
Local Road Improvement Program Update-2022-2023-Staff is preparing to meet and
discuss the program, create a selection committee and determine funding
appropriations.

3. Wisconsin County Highway Association West Central Fall District Meeting Update
The West Central Fall District Meeting is scheduled for October 12, 2021 in Black River
Falls.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Consider St. Croix County Highway Department Commercial Driver License Drug and
Alcohol Testing Policy
Motion made by Hall/Ostness to accept the updated Commercial Driver License Drug
and Alcohol Testing Policy. Motion Carried.
RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]
