1. Transportation Committee Regular Meeting February 16, 2021 8:30 AM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Monthly Financial Report
Kathy Rineck reviewed the Highway Department Monthly Financial Report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Highway Department Report
Committee of the Whole Report Review- Rob Krejci presented the Committee of
the Whole report highlighting the challenges in maintenance, construction and revenue.
Weight Restrictions Update-Spring Weight Restrictions have been placed as
of March 1, 2021. The information is posted on the County website.
2021 ATV Route Application Update- Three applications were received and
staff will be reviewing for future consideration at a Transportation Committee
meeting.
The applications were received after the January 31, 2021 deadline, but will be
considered because the process is still new and the towns are adjusting.
Interstate 94/Exit 4 Adjacent Development Update-
Highway Construction Update-County Trunk Highway V is scheduled to be
milled and paved in 2021. County Trunk Highway U (Mann Valley Lane to CTH
U/Radio Road
is showing considerable break up this spring and will most likely be
substituted for County Trunk V in 2021.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. I94 Exit 2 City of Hudson Update
Highway staff highlighted the letter from the City of Hudson to the Wisconsin
Department Transportation and that Highway staff was staying engaged on the
topic.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. County Road A and McCutcheon Road HSIP Application Update
Highway staff provided an update on the Highway Safety Improvement Program
application for improvements designated for CTH A/McCutcheon Road.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Joe Murtha, Highway Department Sign Foreman, is presenting the Driver Education Snowplow
program to the Wisconsin Traffic Safety Education Association. This program is presented to
area school districts to promote safety and awareness around snow plows to new drivers.
