Executive Committee of the Community Justice Collaborating Council – Regular Meeting – March 28, 2019 12:00 PM Minutes of March 28, 2019 were approved as accepted. RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT BUSINESS ITEMS 1. CJCC and Treatment Alternatives & Diversion (TAD) Grant Budget Review Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator, reviewed the CJCC and Treatment Alternatives & Diversion (TAD) Grant budgets. He states the TAD Grant 1st quarter reimbursement request has been made to the WI Department of Justice (DOJ) and we should receive a check to the County in the amount of $32,647.00. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Treatment Court and Diversion Programs Support Specialist Position Update Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator, reports they have filled the .5 FTE Treatment Court and Diversion Program Support Specialist position which is paid for by the TAD grant. The name of the person assuming these duties is Jodi Tedone. She is currently working for the District Attorney's Office as a .5 FTE Diversion Program Case Management Specialist. The Treatment Court and Diversion Program Support Specialist position will have the responsibility of maintaining the WI Department of Justice (DOJ) CORE database. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. CJCC Subcommittee Updates Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator gave updates on each CJCC Subcommittee. Judge Needham discussed the proposed CASA grant application and the presentation that was held on April 24, 2019, 12:00 p.m., County Board room. There is a proposal to have a Regional CASA Director located in Barron County as well as a CASA Coordinator in each participating county. Due to the short timeline on this grant application a decision had to be made after the presentation as to whether or not St. Croix County would be part of this application. A group of stakeholders met and decided it would in the best interest of the County to take part in the grant application. Judge Needham indicated a letter of support was drafted and will be forwarded to the County Board of Supervisors for review. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Agenda Items for CJCC Meeting - May 9, 2019 Discussion was held on agenda items for the CJCC meeting on May 9, 2019; 1.) Update on DRC tour by Dunn Co. CJCC, 2.) CASA Update, 3.) Financial Reports - CJCC & TAD, 4.) Veteran Administration Justice Outreach Program presentation. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN Judge Needham adjourned the meeting at 12:31 p.m. DATE OF NEXT MEETING The next CJCC Executive Subcommittee meeting is Thursday, May 23, 2019, 12:00 p.m., Government Center - Administration Conference room -1411. The next CJCC Council meeting is Thursday, May 9, 2019, 8:00 a.m., Government Center - County Board room.
