HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2025 (943)Ordinance No. 943 (2025) ORDINANCE TO REPEAL AND RECREATE CHAPTER 30 -PARKS - OF ST. CROIX COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES 1 The County Board of Supervisors of the County of St. Croix does ordain as follows: 2 3 WHEREAS, Chapter 30 of the St. Croix County Code of Ordinances is authorized by Wis. Stat. 4 §§ 59.54(6) and 59.56(9); and 5 6 WHEREAS, Chapter 30 applies to all County properties designated as County parks; and 7 8 WHEREAS, the amendments to the cunent ordinance include provisions to increase consistency 9 with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource regulations, provide for longer te1m campmg, 10 streamlines duplicate text within the ordinance, and matches current practices by staff; and 11 12 WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the St. Croix County 13 Government Center by the Community Development Committee of the St. Croix County Board of 14 Supervisors regarding the proposed amendments; and 15 16 WHEREAS, the Community Development Committee has reviewed said amendments and 17 recommends the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors enact said amendments to Chapter 30 of the St. 18 Croix County Code of Ordinances. 19 20 NOW, THEREFORE, the County Board of Supervisors of the County of St. Croix does ordain 21 that Chapter 30 -Parks -of the St. Croix County Code of Ordinances is repealed and recreated as 22 attached hereto. 23 24 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the provisions of the repealed and recreated Chapter 30 - 25 Parks shall supersede any prior ordinance provisions. 26 27 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the St. Croix County Community Development 28 Depaiiment is directed to forward the repealed and recreated ordinance to necessaiy governmental units 29 and agencies. 30 31 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the amended Chapter 30-Parks-of the St. Croix County 32 Code of Ordinances shall be published by the County Clerk, pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 59.14, and will 33 become effective upon publication. This ordinance shall be codified.
