RESOLUTION ADOPTING 2025-2028
LIBRARY PLAN OF SERVICES
1 WHEREAS, the mission of St. Croix County's Library Plan of Service is to ensure
2 equitable access to high-quality library resources for all residents, enabling them to read, engage,
3 work, create, and learn; and
4
5 WHEREAS, the County is committed to providing equitable funding to libraries within
6 its jurisdiction to meet the diverse needs of its residents, including rural residents; and
7
8 WHEREAS, the 2025-2028 Library Plan of Service ("Plan") has been developed in
9 alignment with Wisconsin Statute§§ 43.11 and 43.12, reflecting the County's statutmy
10 requirements for library services and funding; and
11
12 WHEREAS, the Plan outlines priorities such as equitable access to libra1y services,
13 interlibrary collaboration, support for literacy programs, and continuous evaluation to maintain
14 relevance and effectiveness; and
15
16 WHEREAS, the Plan has been reviewed and recommended by the Administration
17 Committee to meet the current and future needs of St. Croix County residents.

19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
20 Supervisors that the St. Croix County Library Plan of Service 2025-2028 is hereby adopted as
21 the guiding document for the delivery and funding of library services in St. Croix County. Administration Committee Recommended MOVER: Bob Long SECONDER: Ryan Sherley AYES: Paul Berning, Scott Counter, Bob Feidler, Bob Long, Ryan Sherley EXCUSED: None
