ttt RESOLUTION ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE ST. CROIX
COUNTY 2025-2045 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
1 WHEREAS, St. Croix County is authorized to prepare and adopt a comprehensive plan as
defined in Wisconsin Statute § 66.1001(1)(a); and
4 WHEREAS, pursuant to Wisconsin Statute § 59.69(2), the St. Croix County Board of
5 Supervisors has appointed the Community Development Committee as the County Planning and
6 Zoning agency to develop and prepare the comprehensive plan amendment for County Board
7 adoption; and

9 WHEREAS, St. Croix County has adopted written public participation procedures
10 designed to foster public participation in every stage of the preparation of the comprehensive plan
11 amendment as required by Wisconsin Statute § 66.1001(4)(a); and
12
13 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Community Development Committee has met to
14 develop and prepare a comprehensive plan amendment that will meet the requirements of state
15 law; and
16
17 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Community Development Committee has held public
18 meetings, provided public notice, maintained a public project webpage of all plan development
19 and background materials, and has followed the public participation procedures as outlined in the
20 adopted County public participation plan; and
21
22 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Community Development Committee has developed a
23 plan that contains all the elements required by Wisconsin Statute § 66.1001(2) including Issues
24 and Opportunities, Land Use, Agricultural Resources, Natural Resources, Transportation,
25 Economic Development, Housing, Utilities and Community Facilities, Cultural Resources,
26 Intergovernmental Cooperation, and Implementation; and

28 WHEREAS, each of the elements in the plan include a descriptive narrative of background
29 material, trend analysis and projections, maps, goals, objectives, and policies as specified by state
30 statute; and

32 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Community Development Committee hereby
33 recommends approval of the amendments to the St. Croix County 2025-2045 Comprehensive
34 Plan to the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors for adoption.

36 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
37 Supervisors that the amendments to the St. Croix County 2025-2045 Comprehensive Plan are
38 hereby adopted.

40 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors will
41 enact an ordinance, pursuant to Wisconsin Statute § 66.1001(4)(c), which will constitute its

42 adoption of the amendments to the St. Croix County 2025-2045 ComprehensNe Plan as the
43 County's comprehensive plan under Wisconsin Statute § 66.1001.

45 BE IT FURTUER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Community Development
46 Committee, pursuant to Wisconsin Statute § 66.1001(4)(b), will distribute the recommended
47 plan to the recipients listed in said statute.
