APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Executive Committee of the Community Justice Collaborating Council – Special Meeting –
March 21, 2018 11:00 AM
The minutes from the May 3, 2018 meeting were accepted as presented.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
The Hon. Eric J. Lundell states he has asked Kevin Hamlin, St. Croix County Crime Data Analyst,
to review the costs of holding a one day jury trial for a misdemeanor B case. Preliminary
indications is that it costs approximately $3,000.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. CJCC - Treatment Alternatives & Diversion (TAD) Grant Budget Update
Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator reported that we have received the 1st Quarter
Treatment Alternatives & Diversion (TAD) reimbursement.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Treatment Court OWI Track Update
Kimberly Kitzberger, Treatment Courts Coordinator, reports they have four pending
referrals for the OWI Track within the current Treatment Court Program. The Impaired
Driver's Assessment (IDA) training is scheduled for May 8, 2018. So far we have 17
training slots filled and other counties will be attending.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Treatment Court Training Award Announcement
Kimberly Kitzberger, Treatment Courts Coordinator, announced that she submitted an
application to the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) for a
contest to pay for two people to attend the National Conference with all expenses paid.
She was just notified that St. Croix County was selected as this year's winner and she will
be attending with another Treatment Court Team Member, Liesl Nelson. As part of this
award they have to present at the conference.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Women's Risk Needs Assessment (WRNA) Training
Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator states that the WI Department of Corrections (DOC) is
offering free training this fall for the Women's Risk and Needs Assessment (WRNA).
Mike sent in a request to have two staff attend and this was approved.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. CJCC Subcommittee Updates
Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator, gave an update on the progress being made by CJCC
Subcommittees.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. Agenda Items for CJCC Council Meeting - May 10, 2018
Items for the next CJCC meeting on May 10, 2018; Lethality Assessment Program (LAP).
Fred Johnson will chair this meeting. Judge Lundell states if there are any other agenda
items please forward to Mike O'Keefe and he will send them to me for approval.
