Executive Committee of the Community Justice Collaborating Council Regular Meeting October 26, 2017 12:00 PM The minutes were accepted as presented. RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT BUSINESS ITEMS 1. CJCC and Treatment Alternatives & Diversion Grant Budgets Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator reported the budgets for the TAD Grant and CJCC are within guidelines and he will have a final report at the February 22, 2018 meeting. Some of the TAD Grant funding was moved internally with the permission of the WI Department of Justice to accommodate the Mark Carey Evidence Based Practices training. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) Project Updates Discussion was held on program fees for the Diversion Program and Adult Drug Court. In 2018 there is a new requirement in the TAD Grant to report program fees and how these will be used to support the programs. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. CJCC Subcommittees Updates Mike O'Keefe, CJCC Coordinator gave an update on the progress of each CJCC Subcommittee. Fred Johnson reported there is an increase in out of home placements of children due to a variety of reasons, but most of them are due to methamphetamine abuse. We are running out of approved placements and foster care homes so recruitment continues to be a priority. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Crime Data Analyst Position Update Sheriff Knudson reported the Crime Data Analyst (CDA) has been hired and will sign an employment offer on 12/22/17. His name is Kevin Hamlin and he will be working in the Sheriff's Office and with the CJCC Council on pertinent issues. He will also be attending meetings with other analysts in adjacent counties in an effort to identify best practices and crime prevention strategies. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Future Agenda Items; 1.) Mental Health Bed Usage Report, 2.) OWI Track with the Adult Drug Court Update ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN DATE OF NEXT MEETING The next CJCC Executive Subcommittee meeting is Thursday, February 22, 2018, 12:00 p.m., Government Center - Administration Conference room - 1411. The next CJCC Council meeting is Thursday, January 11, 2018, 8:00 a.m., Government Center - County Board room.
