Call meeting to order 2. Approval of minutes from December 17, 2013 and January 24, 2014 3. Business Items a. Introduction of CJCC Coordinator Travis Gaetz b. Directive and Procedures for CJCC Coordinator c. Agenda items for March 27, 2014 meeting 4. Items for discussion a. Subcommittees needed: i. 3/27/14 deadline: CJCC presentation development (Fred, Lori & Travis) ii. Identification of a facilitator and plan a team building session (Judge Cameron, Liesel, Lori, Travis) iii. Stakeholder interviews to be completed to identify priorities of services and 3 areas of need (Rick, Cherise, Travis) 5. Next meeting date a. Full Council: March 27, 2014 @ 8:00 a.m. 6. Adjourn ST. CROIX COUNTY COMMUNITY JUSTICE COLLABORATING COUNCIL DRAFT MINUTES FROM 12/17/13 The St. Croix County CJCC meeting was held on December 17, 2013 at 12:00 PM, in Admin Suite Conference Room of the Government Center in Hudson. Members Present: Judge Lundell, Pat Thompson, Daryl Standafer, Rick Johnson & Jessica Zupfer Members Absent: None Others Present: Judge Vlack, Chuck Rupnow, Amber Perry, Lisa Multhauf 1. Meeting called to order 2. Attendance taken 3. Motion to approve minutes from 10/18/13, 1st by Thompson, 2nd by Johnson. Minutes approved. 4. Job description discussed and revisions suggested. Revisions noted and changed. Judge Lundell motions to approve the job description be approved as amended today. 2nd by Standafer. Description approved. Motion carried. Zupfer will revise description and send to members. 5. Organizational structure discussed. Members review how other counties structure reporting of CJCC. Standafer suggest the court and county administrator should be the supervisors. Judge Lundell moves to adopt the dual supervision of County Administrator and Presiding Judge. Standafer 2nds. Approved, motion carried. 6. Thomposon would like a report back to the County Board of what has been accomplished thus far. 7. Citizen member nominations discussed. Standafer recommends Steve T’Kach. Judge Lundell 2nd. Thompson recommends Joan Sprain. Standafer 2nd. Motion carried for both. Zupfer will contact to see if they are both still interested. 8. EBDM conference discussed. Thompson wants Zupfer to attend. Judge Lundell wants to attend. Discussion regarding who decides who will attend. Decided Chairman, Lundell, will decide who is to attend if the list needs to be narrowed. 9. Perry advises St. Croix County has been approved for the TAD grant, ranking #4. 10. Open meeting law discussed. Judge Lundell still not convinced this is an ope n meeting. Thompson states he is advised it is open and will put it in writing. Standafer agrees this is an open meeting. Judge Lundell requests it in writing. 11. Review of 1/23/14 agenda. No revisions at this time. 12. Adjourned. DRAFT MINUTES OF THE ST. CROIX COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTIC COLLABORATING COUNCIL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE Friday January 24, 2014 9:00 a.m. Members Present: Daryl Standafer, Eric Lundell, Eric Johnson, and Patrick Thompson Others Present: Tammy Funk 1. Call the meeting to order Meeting called to order at 9:05am by Judge Lundell 2. The committee may convene into closed session pursuant to WIS. Stat 19.85 (1) ( c) to interview candidates for the position of CJCC Coordinator/COMPAS Coordinator. Motion by Thompson, 2nd by Johnson to convene into closed session at 9:06am. Roll call vote 3. Reconvene into open session. Motion by Standafer, 2nd by Johnson to reconvene into open session at 3:09pm. Carried unanimously. 4. Action, if any, related to closed session above. Motion by Thomspon, 2nd by Johnson to authorize the Human Resources Director to conduct background check on Travis Gaetz as the preferred candidate and report back to the committee as soon as possible. Also, authorize the Human Resources Director to contact Mr. Gaetz to notify him of such decision. Carried Unanimously. 5. Adjourn Motion by Thompson, 2nd by Johnson to adjourn the meeting at 3:11pm.
