Call meeting to order 2. Approval of minutes from 2/27/14 3. Business items a. COMPAS Workgroup update (Travis) b. Agenda items for May 22, 2014 meeting c. Facilitator and team building update i. Team Assessment Tool completion by CJCC members ii. Financial report and discussion regarding CJCC budget (Travis) d. Stakeholder interview update (Travis) i. Discussion of sub-committees to address priority areas in St. Croix County (Travis) e. Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) Update i. Reporting requirements st ii. 1 quarter financial report submitted to Department of Justice 4. Items for discussion a. Presentations scheduled for CJCC i. WTA meeting on 4/24/14 at 6:30pm in Somerset b. Public Outreach i. Fred, Lori, and Travis meeting to create informational sheet regarding St. Croix County CJCC and Evidence-Based Practices. 5. Next meeting dates: a. Full Council: May 22, 2014 Full day event b. Executive Meeting: June 26, 2014 at 8:00 am 6. Future subcommittee deadline dates a. 6/1/14: Stakeholder interviews to be completed to identify priorities and 3 areas of need (Lisa, Travis, Mark) b. 12/31/14: Travis and other CJCC members to schedule at least 5 presentations regarding CJCC 7. CROIX COUNTY COMMUNITY JUSTICE COLLABORATING COUNCIL EXECUTIVE MEETING DRAFT MINUTES FROM 2/27/14 Members Present: Judge Lundell, Pat Thompson, Daryl Standafer, Rick Johnson, Travis Gaetz, Judge Vlack, Lori Meyer Members Absent: None Others Present: Kris Anderson 1. Meeting called to order by Judge Lundell at 8am. 2. Minutes approved from 12/17/13 and 1/24/14 3. Introduction of new CJCC Coordinator, Travis Gaetz a. Discussion of conference room being used as office and possible shortage or areas for Clerk of Court staff to meet people for payment plans and also attorney/client conferences b. Will continue to evaluate limited space and explore available options 4. Basic direction and duties for CJCC Coordinator position a. Discussion of routine. b. 20 hours a week will be given to COMPAS Assessor position in working with Lisa Multhauf and Amber Perry to keep consistent with the TAD grant. i. Further discussion of how hours should be utilized ii. Topic of Pre-trial COMPAS assessments being completed. iii. Judge Lundell reports these would not be done in every case. Judge Vlack spoke about a Proxy or looking into this process in the future. 5. D. Standafer asked for further understanding of COMPAS and its utilization. Judge Vlack reported benefits of using it for potential drug court candidates. T. Gaetz spoke about using it as a tool only and assists our professional judgment. 6. Agenda Items for March 27, 2014 Full Council Meeting a. Introduction of new CJCC Coordinator, Travis Gaetz b. Heroin epidemic, discussion of creating a subcommittee to look at options for prevention and enforcement through CJCC. c. COMPAS update/processing of referrals 7. Items for Discussion a. CJCC Presentation development: Fred, Lori, and Travis assigned. Work in progress, but will continue to work on for deadline of 3/27 full council meeting b. Team building session Lori reported that Buck Rhyme may be facilitating a session in May, 2014. Still looking at possible locations. c. Stakeholder interviews Travis Gaetz will work with assigned members to complete interviews. Will look at generating a general report to submit to the full Council in May or June, 2014. 8. Adjourned
