BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Senior Nutrition Site Updates
Hanson informed the Council that the River Falls site is back up and running for
Congregate meals. The Nutrition Program Manager has been out since February 2022,
so two subs have been job sharing and doing well.
The Roberts Senior Nutrition Site will be transitioning to the Parkside Restaurant on July
5, 2022 as a restaurant model. There will be no marketing until some of the bugs are
worked out. The name of the site was changed to Central Senior Center to encompass
both communities Hammond and Roberts. It will open at 10 am for coffee with lunch
served between 11 am and 1 pm giving diners a choice between 5 items. The intake and
donation process works the same as all the other Senior Nutrition Sites, the only
exception is there is no need for a reservation.
The Nutrition Program Manager for New Richmond just recently returned after being
gone for a month. Activities and meals are slowly starting to pick up.
Hanson informed the Council of the change at the Woodville Senior Nutrition site and
the transition from a cooking kitchen to a catered site. The transition also effected the
Baldwin, Glenwood City and temporarily Roberts. The Woodville and Glenwood City sites
receive their meals from Hurtgen Catering in Hammond. Both caterers will follow the
same menu at Deer Park, New Richmond and Somerset. Ordering of supplies and
condiments will be done through Reinhart and delivered to Deer Park. Discussion
followed.
