CALL TO ORDER
The Nutrition Advisory Council Chair Maureen Brunner called the meeting to order at 10 am

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Nutrition Advisory Council Regular Meeting December 16, 2020

The Council members reviewed the minutes from the December 16, 2020
Brunner asked if there were any changes, additions or corrections. A motion was made to
accept the minutes by Council member Quale; seconded by Council member
McConaughey; motion carried.
RESULT: APPROVED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Chair Brunner opened the floor for public comment.
There was no public comment presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Home-Delivered Meal Program Statistics and Trends by Brandy Zeuli, Outreach Coordinator
Outreach Coordinator Zeuli informed the NAC that there are currently between 225-250
participants on the Home-Delivered Meal Program (HDM). There has been an increase
in a few different communities.
Zeuli mentioned she is doing good with the number of volunteers in New Richmond,
Hudson and River Falls.
Zeuli mentioned the Love Bags with fresh fruit was delivered a little late this year.

2. Elderly Nutrition Program Menu Suggestions and Recommendations
Hanson reviewed the second quarter menus for 2021 and some new items that will be on
the menu rotation.
A variety of comments were shared regarding the meals from the last menu cycle.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. 2019-2020 Year to Date Home-Delivered and Congregate Meal Statistics
The Council received information regarding program statistics and comparison.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Glenwood City and Hudson Senior Center Updates
Hanson informed the NAC members that the Aging team along with the Hudson Senior
Center Board met with Christian Community Home (CCH) staff. The agreement between
CCH and the Hudson Senior Center Board has been dissolved and the contract with the
ADRC Nutrition Program will remain until the end of the year. The Aging team met and
created a posting to be sent out to the Hudson Chamber, municipalities in Hudson area,
a press release, and a posting on the St. Croix County Facebook page.
Renea Aeschliman, Program Support Associate, informed the NAC that there had been
issues with the contract with the temporary location for the Glenwood City Nutrition Site.
Everything was resolved late yesterday afternoon and the site will be moving to St. John
Catholic Church on Thursday, April 8 with the site ready to roll on Monday, April 12.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
ended and Martha Mabis will be the new Council member. There is another opening for
someone that fits the target group of Mental Health.

Council Chair Brunner adjourned the meeting at 11 a.m.

The date of the next meeting will be Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the St. Croix County
Ag Center in Baldwin.
