CALL TO ORDER
The Nutrition Advisory Council Chair Maureen Brunner called the meeting to order at 10 am

Center Preventative/Nutrition Program Coordinator; Teresa Babich, Public Health Nutrition
Manager; Alternates: Liz Kreibich, River Falls. Other present virtually was Bob Rohret, HHS Director.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Nutrition Advisory Council Regular Meeting September 15, 2021

The Council members reviewed the minutes from the September 15, 2021
Brunner asked if there were any changes, additions or corrections. A motion was made to
accept the minutes by Council member Deja; seconded by Council member Quale; motion
carried.
RESULT: APPROVED

Chair Brunner opened the floor for public comment.
There was nopublic comment presented.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Home-Delivered Meal Program Statistics and Trends by Brandy Zeuli, Outreach Coordinator
Outreach Coordinator Zeuli informed the NAC that there are currently between 170
participants on the Home-Delivered Meal Program (HDM).
She informed the NAC members

2. Elderly Nutrition Program Menu Suggestions and Recommendations
Hanson reviewed the first quarter menus for 2022. A variety of comments were shared
regarding the meals from the last menu cycle.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Senior Nutrition Site Updates
Hanson informed the NAC members that they have been talking with the food vendor
regarding the complaints that have been received from participants. They are looking to
revise the menu in 2022.
Hanson informed the NAC members that the food vendor in River Falls has been having
some staffing issues, so the meal preparation has been transitioned to Family Fresh Deli.
However, that will be ending on December 30, so meal preparation will go back to the
regular vendor with decreased days on a rotating schedule.
The Somerset Senior Nutrition site will be closed until December 27 there will be no
Grab-n-Go or Congregate dining.
The group working on the plans for new New Richmond Library contacted the ADRC
regarding including the New Richmond Senior Nutrition Site in the plan. They are looking
to break ground in the Fall of 2022.
Hanson mentioned to the NAC members discussions with community members in the
Hammond and Roberts have started regarding transition to a restaurant model for the
Hammond/Roberts Senior Nutrition Site.
The new Community Center in Glenwood City is complete and beautiful. The Glenwood

City Senior Nutrition Site is planning to move into the building on Thursday, January 6.
The plan is start with just Grab-n-Go and Home-Delivered Meals the first week and then

open for Congregate Dining on the 18.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Teresa Babich, Public Health Dietician, introduced the Stepping Up Your Nutrition Program that
will be held in the upcoming year.
HHS Director Bob Rohret announced the new ADRC Administrator will be Kristin Newton. She
was a supervisor in the St. Croix County Behavioral Health Unit and will be starting on January

9 in her new role.
ADJOURN
Council Chair Brunner adjourned the meeting at 11 a.m.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The date of the next meeting will be Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the St. Croix
County Agriculture Services and Education Center in Baldwin.
