Those who attended remotely Brad Beckman, Aging and Disability Resource Center Administrator; Randi Hanson, Aging and Disability Resource Center Preventative/Nutrition Program Coordinator; Brandy Zeuli, Aging and Disability Resource Center Outreach Coordinator; Alternates: Bonnie Richert, Hudson. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Nutrition Advisory Council Regular Meeting September 16, 2020 meeting. Chair The Council members reviewed the minutes from the September 16, 2020 Brunner asked if there were any changes, additions or corrections. A motion was made to accept the minutes by Council member Deja; seconded by Council member Quale; motion carried. RESULT: APPROVED PUBLIC COMMENT Chair Brunner opened the floor for public comment. There was no comment presented. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Home-Delivered Meal Program Statistics and Trends by Brandy Zeuli, Outreach Coordinator Outreach Coordinator Zeuli informed the NAC that there are currently between 225-250 participants on the Home-Delivered Meal Program (HDM). There has been an increase in New Richmond and Glenwood City. Zeuli mentioned she is doing good with the number of volunteers in New Richmond, Hudson and River Falls. Zeuli explained that the emergency meal kits are have been disbursed to individuals. The Emergency meal kits will be provided to each Home-Delivered Meal participant to cover when the ADRC is not able to deliver due to weather. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Elderly Nutrition Program Menu Suggestions and Recommendations Hanson reviewed the first quarter menus for 2021 and some new items that will be on the menu rotation. A variety of comments were shared regarding the meals from the last menu cycle. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Senior Nutrition Program Update by Randi Hanson Hanson informed the Council a new Nutrition Program Cook Aide was hired for Deer Park and has been doing well. Hanson mentioned the Somerset Senior Nutrition Site had to close down due to staff close contact. The Deer Park Senior Nutrition Site took over the packing of the Somerset Home-Delivered Meals and the Somerset Van Driver picked up the meals in Deer Park and delivered them. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS There were none mentioned ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE The Secret Santa program provided over 100 Christmas cards with either a gift card for Kwik Trip or Walmart depending on where they lived. The United Way Employee Campaign for 2020 was successfully. The Council on Aging and Disabilities will have two openings for individuals over the age of 60. Applications can be found on the ADRC webpage or individuals can call the ADRC to have one mailed to them. ADJOURN Council Chair Brunner adjourned the meeting at 11 a.m. DATE OF NEXT MEETING The date of the next meeting will be Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the St. Croix County Services Center.
