St. Croix County Citizen Review Panel
March 19, 2019 11:30 am

CALL TO ORDER 11:30am
ROLL CALL Ben, Sandy, Paula, Emma, Sunshine, Marla, Sue, Guest from SART: Ashley Bredeson,
Advocacy and Community Outreach Coordinator.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Feb. 19, 2019 meeting: Minutes were approved as read.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Fill out Annual Report. Panel members worked on the 2018 annual report. Ben will make some
changes and send to Sue.
2. Presentation at HHS board meeting. Phoenix and Sue gave a CRP update to the HHS board
members on March 13th.
3. Hands around the Courthouse event: April 16th 11:30 to 1pm. Program at noon.
Media/outreach/flyers: Marla is working on the press release and will get that out to local papers. .
Emma and Sue worked on the flyer and sent out and gave copies to panel members.
Food trucks: Two food trucks will be at the event. Best Made Cookies are donating 150 cookies.
Speakers: Will be Fred Johnson HHS Director, Sheriff’s dept. Pam Bellrichard from Victim
Witness, Hayley Konsela Turning Point Legal Coordinator, and a BACA member.
Tables/displays: for BACA, CRP, Family Resource Center, Vitim Witness, SART, Turning Point,
and Headstart.
4. Child Abuse prevention month display locations. There will be 15 locations for displays this year
throughout the county. 4 new locations.
5. National CRP Conference is June 6-8 at Albuquerque New Mexico. Emma, Phoenix and Sunshine
to attend. Expenses have been paid.
6. New CPS Social Worker to join panel later this spring. Aubrey McAlear.
7. Budget Update. $4,921.65 Spent this month for National Conference and Child Abuse Month
supplies. Approximately $2,212.35 left in the budget. The CRP will help purchase some food for a
BACA community outreach event.
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENGA ITEMS
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE: A couple panel members will present a small gift as a
token of appreciation and recognition to the county CPS staff on April 1st at their staff meetings. Fred
invited the Panel members to hear a speaker at the Government Center on April 24th at noon on CASA.
(Court Appointed Special Advocates.) Ben will ask if one of the Foster Parents would like to join the
panel.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING: Hands around the Courthouse Event, April 16th at Noon to 1pm at
Government Center in Hudson. Next panel meeting May 21, 2019 At Turning Point in New Richmond.
Proposed closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.85(1) (f) to consider and discuss the medical, social, and
personal history of an abused and/or neglected minor child.
Case review.
No closed session.
Reconvene into open session Panel may take action under discussion on in closed session and/or report action
taken today in closed session, if any.
ADJOURN THE MEETING 1:00pm
A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this
meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of
obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings.
