Three committee members attended. Doehrmann reported on the tool kits that have been
made available to ensure program compliance. Gohr reported on the Tobacco session and
the valuable information that she received. Some counties send out Quarterly news
letters to providers and recipients. Links from the conference will be emailed out and
posted on the CCS share point portal.
4. CCS Updates from Western Region Directors & Financial Managers Joint Meeting
There was a panel of staff from the State from different areas including technical
assistance, surveyors, and Medicaid. More of listening session than an information
session. When children are in a court ordered placement, should be cautious about billing
CCS because of the IV E funds.
5. Updates from Subcommittee – Quality Improvement
Future will be labeled as updates from Quality Improvement work group.
Would like to continue to use Center for Independent Living (CIL) for 2017. Some
reasons for this: already established, requirement to provide survey annually, but would
like to do it every 6 months, cost effectiveness of being centrally located, they are familiar
with tools and have a mechanism for doing all the data entry.
Would use trained peer specialist for survey of county specific quality information. Gohr
will work with Eau Claire County on a personal survey that gets to whether the services
are truly helping the service recipient.
Suggestion of having a service recipient, staff, and provider CCS appreciation picnic.
Surveys could be completed at the picnic without pressure. Donations would be used to

support the picnic. Other counties have had very successful response to the number of
surveys completed. We need to ensure that recipients are aware that their answers are
important.
QI has a goal to implement a project per year as part of their plan. The launch of the
personal survey could be the project for this year.
Other projects to consider are provider satisfaction surveys. Review of process of
transitioning recipients from one program to another and youth to adult services.
Motion by Strenke 2nd by Long to continue the use of CIL to complete the ROSI and
MHSIP surveys. Approved. This will be reported back to the joint QI workgroup.
