HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-26-2019 Comprehensive Community Services Minutes MINUTES COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY SERVICES (CCS) COORDINATION COMMITTEE th Friday, JULY 26, 2019 at 9:00 AM St. Croix County Services Center ROOM #172 1752 Dorset Lane, New Richmond, WI 54017 CALL TO ORDER at 9:04 AM by Chair Johnson ROLL CALL: Kathy Wochomurka, Dawn Campbell, Toni Chambers, Liz Pizzi, Julie Johnson, Paul Wick, Jody Gohr, Amber Thompson, Fay Strenke, Adam Delikowski APPROVAL OF MINUTES: nd 1.Motion by Pizzi, 2 by Wochomurka to approve the minutes from June 28, 2019. Motion approved. PUBLIC COMMENT none BUSINESS ITEMS 1.CCS Enrollment Data: 133 recipients, 98 youth 35 adults. We have 1 youth and 1 adult facilitator starting soon, it is expected to have one more youth facilitator coming on board within the next month. 2. Review of any new member referrals to the Coordination Committee: none 3. Workgroup discussion and vote: The following purposes are suggested: Marketing workgroup-purpose: publicity, advertisement and development of literature. Event planning workgroup-purpose: identifying tasks for the event, completing those tasks or soliciting assistance from other workgroups for completion of tasks. Recruiting workgroup-purpose: develop best practice to recruit and maintain committee members in alignment with DHS 36 and committee by-laws, Quality Assurance St Croix County CCS workgroup-purpose: to identify, in prior meetings). discussion and vote on implementing workgroups. Motion by Gohr, 2nd by Wick to have Marketing, Recruiting, and Quality Assurance be standing workgroups. Additional discussion. Marketing workgroup would also include event planning. Also discussed that work groups would be encouraged to meet prior to the Coordination Committee meeting to facilitate bringing information back to the committee. Suggestion to have every other month coordination committee meetings, and work groups would meet on the opposite month. August Coordination Committee meeting would have include workgroup sign up and break out groups to identify chair and next steps. September would be a work group meeting, and October would be a Coordination Committee meeting. Motion carried for the three standing workgroups. 4.Identification of Regional Shared Committees and Sub-Committees: QI is the current Regional shared sub-committee. 5.BESt acronym: Discussion regarding the regional name. Recommendation from committee is B.E.St 6.September Training: Barron will be doing a 4 hour training with a different subject each hour. St. Croix will be doing Make it Ok for the first 2 hours, currently staff and providers are targeted. Pizzi reported WITC would be willing to partner with St Croix County regarding speakers and sharing the cost and logistics. Due to timing this may not work for September. Campbell also reported on efforts the school districts are providing. Gohr is reaching WISE to see on their availability. 7. CCS hierarchy: will be reviewed at October meeting. 8.Updates from Sub-Committee Quality Improvement: did not meet in July. Next meeting is September. REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENGA ITEMS: Work group sign up and breakout sessions by work groups ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Certified Peer Specialist Training to be held in Menomonie in August 2019, two week training, more information can be found by going to www.wicps.org th The 30 Annual Children Come First Conference, November 11 & 12, 2019 at Glacier Canyon Lodge-Wisconsin Dells. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE COMMITTEE: Motion by Gohr, 2nd by Wick to have Marketing, Recruiting, and Quality Assurance be standing workgroups. Motion carried for the three standing workgroups. DATE OF NEXT MEETING: October 25, 2019 ADJOURN THE MEETING (Items may be taken in different order) A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings.
