Coordinating Committee
Friday, September 8, 2017
Members Present: Toni Chambers (parent, WI Family Ties Parent Peer Specialist),
Dawn Campbell (Children’s Services Social Worker), Teresa Hansen (parent), Julie
Johnson (Hudson School District), Michelle Lloyd Clay (Children’s Services Social
Worker), Hannah Blaha (Turning Point), Luke Owens (Marriage and Family Health
Services), Michelle Leccia (Children’s Services Supervisor), Amy Elmer (Northwest
Journey), Sue Selzer (Rusk County)
Members Excused: Deb Ramacher (WI Family Ties), Leah Johnson- Freer (Baldwin
School District), Kate Rorabeck (Somerset School District), Jeremy Hernandez (Positive
Alternatives), Jacqueline Brenizer (Substance Abuse Counselor), Jodi Jones (parent),
Chair Julie Johnson called the meeting to order at 1:04pm
NEXT MEETING: The next St. Croix County Coordinated Family Services
Coordinating Committee meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 10, 2017 at the St.
Croix County Department of Health and Human Services
WELCOME NEW MEMBERS/INTRODUCTIONS:
AGENDA: Motion: A motion was introduced by Owens seconded by Elmer and
unanimously adopted that today’s agenda be adopted and approved.
MINUTES: Motion: A motion was introduced by Hansen, seconded by Chambers, and
unanimously adopted.
OLD AND NEW BUSINESS:
1. Enrollment Status Report
Campbell reviewed the Coordinated Family Service Enrollment Status Report. There
are currently 7 youth enrolled and have a Coordinated Family Service Team.
Coordinating Committee members discussed ways that the enrollment report will be
used moving forward.
2. Additional Coordinated Service Teams (CST) grant funding for 2017
Campbell shared that counties received a memo from the state at the beginning of
August informing each that there is additional grant funding for counties utilizing the
Coordinated Service Team model. Eligible counties had to submit a request for the
additional dollars including how the funding would be used. St. Croix County
submitted a letter requesting funding to purchase additional marketing material,

additional support for families to allow for recreational activities/items not covered
by other programs, and to help support additional training and staff time.
As of today, St. Croix County is waiting for a reply from the state.
3. Update on Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Enrollments
Campbell shared that St. Croix County has not received a lot of feedback from the
state about how CCS Recovery Teams should be structured. St. Croix County has
decided to structure the recovery teams similar to the Coordinated Family Service
team model.
The Comprehensive Community Service model has served roughly 65 youth since
April 2016. There are currently 47 youth and 25 adults enrolled in the
Comprehensive Community Service program.
St. Croix County has continued increasing the service array available to clients in the
Comprehensive Community Services program (additional contracts include: art
therapist, Anu, yoga therapy, therapy providers, and boxing)
4. Children’s Community Options Program (CCOP) Status
Committee members discussed the Children’s Community Options Program and
services available under this program. Additional guidelines were given and further
opportunities are available for more recreational based activities. This program
targets short-term service needs.
Committee members discussed the financial and functional requirements of this
program.
Committee members discussed ways to circulate this information to families.
5. Overview/Report from Individual Sub Committees
Grand Resource Subcommittee: Members of this subcommittee will be applying for
the St. Croix Electric grant. The deadline is October 30, 2017.
Subcommittee members also drafted a letter that will be submitted to local
organizations seeking additional donations (food, gas cards, department stores) as
well as businesses for recreational activities (examples discussed include: Wild
Mountain, bowling, swimming pools).
The Quality Assurance subcommittee: Shared that their yearly goal was modified to
examine the current satisfaction surveys utilized and are in the process of determining
how to adapt it to compile additional data.
The Tix for Tots annual renewal will be completed.
Community Relations & Partnerships Subcommittee: Committee members discussed
ways that additional marketing material would be used, if additional funds are
approved by the state.
6. Individual subcommittee break outs and subcommittee work
Announcements:

Joanette Robertson will be completing the Coordinated Service Team site visit on
October 5th at 1:00 pm. This meeting will be held at the New Richmond Service
Center. An invitation was extended to all committee members.
Committee members discussed the anticipated changes that will be made to the
committee’s minutes moving forward.
POSSIBLE AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING:
Every three years, the committee reviews the Interagency Agreements. This will
be done at the next committee meeting.

Motion A motion was introduced by Johnson, and seconded by Chambers, and
unanimously adopted that the meeting is adjourned.
