CROIX COUNT' LAND AND WATER 2 CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT TO APPLE' FOR A MUNICIPAL DAM GRANT 3 4 Resolution No. -7 Ca O f I~ 5 6 St. Croix County, Wisconsin 7 8 WHEREAS, St. Croix County owns and maintains ten PL-566 Floodwater Control 9 Darns; and 10 11 WHEREAS, during inspection of the dams this spring it was determined that a draw 12 down pipe in Dam 47 has corroded and failed and needs replacement; and 13 14 WHEREAS, financial assistance is available under Wisconsin Statutes sec. 31.385 and 15 Wisconsin Administrative Code Ch. NR 335, Municipal Dam Grant Program, to replace the 16 draw down pipe at a 50% cost - share rate. 17 18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors 19 authorizes the Land and Water Conservation Department to apply for a grant of $6,000.00 from 20 the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources under the Municipal Darn Grant Program to 21 repair the draw down pipe in Dam #7. 22 23 FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that St. Croix County shall comply with state rules for 24 programs and obligations under the grant and may perform force account work.
