I RESOLUTION ADOPTING TIIE ST. CROIX COUNTY EMERGENCY OPERATIONS

8 WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statute §323.14 (1) (a) 1. requires the County Board to develop
9 and adopt an emergency management program and plan, compatible with the state plan; and

I 1 WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs, Division of
12 Wisconsin Emergency Management, has- completed the update of the Wisconsin Emergency
13 Response Plan; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the September, 2011 version of the St. Croix County Emergency Opyr.4p, s'
16 Plan is complete and has been reviewed and approved by Wisconsin Emergency. Management;
17 and
18
19 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisoriand County Administratorgtve;¢
20 their full support to this plan and urge all municipal officials,, Department/Division Heads; Y,a=
21 employees, and citizens, individually and collectively, to do their share in the total emergency
22 preparedness effort of St. Croix County.

24 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Emergency Operations Plan
25 attached hereto is hereby adopted as the official program of St. Croix County;
26
27 FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to the County
28 Emergency Management Director, Regional Director, and Administrator for the Division of
29 Wisconsin Emergency Management.

Resolution Title: Resolution Adopting the St. Croix County Emergency Operations Plan and
Emergency Management Program

Explanation:
Per Wisconsin Statute 323.14 1 (a) (3) if the plan is not adopted St. Croix County may be fined not more
than $200 for non-compliance. In addition, the Division of Emergency Management would not be in
compliance with our annual plan of work and $54,163 in Emergency Management Performance Grant
(EMPG) grant funding may be lost.
