ORDINANCE AMENDING ST. CROIX COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES
LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT CHAPTER 17 - ZONING

The St. Croix County Board of Supervisors does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Chapter 91 Farmland Preservation has recently had added to it
a definition of "livestock" to include equine and other animals; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County Code of Ordinances Chapter 17 - Zoning does not currently
include equine and some of the other animals now included in the Chapter 91 definition of
"livestock"; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County's Agricultural District (Code of Ordinances sec. 17.14) is
required to be in conformance with Chapter 91 Farmland Preservation by December 31, 2012 in
order for it to be certified by the State, and amending the County's definition of livestock to be in
conformance with Chapter 91 will immediately provide property owners the benefit of the
amended definition until the entire Agricultural District section is amended;
THEREFORE, Code of Ordinances sec. 17.09 1. 111. is hereby amended as shown below,

111. Livestock: Bovine animals, equine animals, goats, poultry, sheep, swine, farm-
raised deer, farm-raised game birds, camelids, ratites and farm-raised fish.
