Resolution No. 16 (2025)
RESOLUTION APPROVING GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THE
SNOWMOBILE TRAIL AIDS PROGRAM FOR
2026, 2027, 2028, AND 2029
1 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County snowmobile trail system is extensive and of high
2 quality attracting large numbers of users; and

4 WHEREAS, St. Croix County is eligible for annual funding of snowmobile maintenance
5 at the rate of $300.00 per mile; and
6
7 WHEREAS, St. Croix County with cooperating snowmobile clubs currently maintains
8 over 247 miles of State funded snowmobile trails; and
9
10 WHEREAS, this Resolution will cover the application for the Snowmobile Trail Aids
11 Program to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for the years of 2026, 2027, 2028,
12 and 2029.

14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of
15 Supervisors approves applications to the Snowmobile Trail Aids Program for the St. Croix
16 County snowmobile trail system for the years of 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029.

18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Park Administrator or the St.
19 Croix County Community Development Department Director is authorized to submit
20 applications for the years of 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 respectively, and shall comply with
21 Wisconsin state rules for the program, may perform force account work, and shall comply with
22 obligations under the Grant.
