Others present were Brad Beckman, ADRC Administrator; Bob Rohert, HHS Director; Mike
Traynor, ADRC Elder Benefit Specialist; Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager, Fay Strenke.
Others present remotely were Nicole Daul, St. Croix County Economic Support Lead; Amy
Roemhild, ADRC Community Services Coordinator
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1.Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting May 14, 20218:30 AM
Council Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections, additions, or deletions to the
minutes. Chair Ostness approved the minutes as written.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Council Chair Ostenss opened the floor for public comment. Seeing none he proceeded with
the meeting.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Recognition of Outgoing Council on Aging and Disabilities Member - Natalie Rivard
ADRC Administrator Beckman recognized Council member Natalie Rivard for her time
and dedication to the Council on Aging and Disabilities. Beckman read a letter from
Natalie thanking the Council.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Recognition of Mike Traynor, Elder Benefit Specialist
ADRC Administrator Beckman recognized ADRC Elder Benefit Specialist Mike Traynor for
all his years of services at St. Croix County and the ADRC. Traynor addressed the Council
and shared his gratitude.

3. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
HHS Fiscal Manager Strenke reviewed the May 2021 Financial reports with the Council.
Strenke stated that everything looks in line.

4. Economic Support Services Presentation
St. Croix County Economic Support Elderly, Blind and Disabled Lead, Nicole Daul,
provided the Council with a summary of Economic Support programs. Economic
Support works closely with the ADRC when enrolling individuals into Family Care or IRIS
programs.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Presentation of the 2020 Health and Human Services Annual Report
HHS Director Rohert presented the 2020 Health and Human Services Annual Report to
Council and reviewed a variety of sections. Beckman reviewed the ADRC section.
Discussion followed.

6. Reconstitution of Elderly Nutrition Programming
ADRC Administrator Beckman informed the Council that five of the nine Senior Nutrition
Site will reopen on Monday, June 21. The five sites are Baldwin, Deer Park, Roberts,
Somerset and Woodville. Staff will be trained regarding cleaning, sanitizing, and
guidelines when working with consumers. The Aging Team at the ADRC are working on
signage and notices to the public regarding the reopening date.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Council Chair Ostness asked if anyone had any suggestions for future agenda items. Beckman
mentioned inviting WestCAP to talk about the programs they have to offer. He also reminded
the Council with the resignation of Natalie Rivard, a new Vice Chair would need to be elected at
the next meeting.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Council Chair Ostness asked if anyone had any announcements or correspondences they would
like to share.
Beckman announced that World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is June 15 so folks are encouraged
wear with purple. He shared that t he Senior Farmer Market Vouchers are available for those
that are over the age of 60 and residents of St. Croix County. St. Croix County received 122
vouchers and folks can call the ADRC to sign up. He informed the Council that there will be
a Music By the Heart program at the band shell at Lakefront Park in Hudson on Sunday,
June 13.
HHS Director Rohert reviewed the COVID 19 Summary sheet provided to the Council.
Supervisor Feidler mentioned that the Elder Abuse Conference is tentatively scheduled for
September.

Council Chair Ostness adjourned the meeting at 10 am.
