Others present remotely were Amy Roemhild, ADRC Community Services Coordinator and ADRC Tara Murdzek, Caregiver Support Coordinator. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1.Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting September 10, 20218:30 AM Council Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections, additions, or deletions to the minutes. Chair Ostness approved the minutes as written. RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT Council Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment. Seeing none he proceeded with the meeting. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager, reviewed the September Financial report with the Council. She mentioned that revenue and expenses are on track. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Review Information Regarding Senior Housing Needs in St. Croix County Scottie Ard, Housing Navigator for Western WI, provided the Council with a presentation on housing within St. Croix County. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Review of Proposed 2022-2024 Aging Unit Plan Goals Amy Roemhild, ADRC Community Services Coordinator, presented the draft 2022-2024 Aging Unit Plan for the Council. She provided information regarding results from the Public Hearing sessions. Discussion followed. A motion to approve the draft 2022-2024 Aging Unit Plan was made by Supervisor Leaf; seconded by Council member Brunner; motion carried. Meyer, Lois Burri, Roxanne M. Wakeen, Martha Mabis 4. COVID-19 Update HHS Director Rohret reviewed the COVID-19 dashboard on the County website. Discussion followed. 5. Annual Caregiver Conference Report Tara Murdzek, ADRC Caregiver Support Coordinator; informed the Council that the annual Caregiver Conference this year was held virtually with Teepa Snow as the keynote speaker. It was well attended virtually with 110 in attendance and since it was taped, additional individuals were able to view the conference at a later time. There was also a day for professional caregivers, which was also well attended. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Brad Beckman suggested having Judge Vlack speak on Elder Abuse. The 85.21 Specialized Transportation Grant will be reviewed. ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Supervisor Feidler announced that the Elder Abuse conference last month went rather well. Brad Beckman, ADRC Administrator, announced his retirement to the Council. He will retire on December 10, 2021. Chair Ostness thanked Beckman for his years of service. ADJOURN Chair Ostness adjourned the meeting at 10:00 am DATE OF NEXT MEETING The next will be held on Friday, November 12th at 8:30 am at the St. Croix County Services Center in New Richmond.
