APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting October 8, 2021 8:30 AM
Council Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections, additions, or deletions to the
minutes. Chair Ostness approved the minutes as written.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Council Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment. Seeing none he proceeded with
the meeting.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager, reviewed the October Financial report with the Council.
She mentioned the ADRC contract has been fully received so any additional funds
coming in will be from the Medicaid reimbursement from the state. She also mentioned
one the Aging side, there is still grant dollars that have not been spent and can carry
over into 2022.

2. St. Croix County Circuit Judge Vlack Presentation
Honorable Judge Vlack presented information regarding elder abuse and how the circuit
court get involved. Discussion followed.

3. 85.21 Specialized Transportation Assistance 2022 Grant Application
Amy Roemhild, Community Services Coordinator, reviewed the 85.21 Specialized
Transportation Assistance Program grant and programs within the grant receiving
funding. Discussion followed. A motion to accept the 85.21 Specialized Transportation
Assistance 2022 Grant Application was made by Council Member Waaken; seconded by
Council Member Mabis; motion carried,

4. COVID-19 Update
Bob Rohret, HHS Director, provided the Council with the most recent press release
regarding COVID-19 and reviewed the COVID-19 dashboard on the County website.
Discussion followed.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
HHS Director Rohret mentioned he would provide the Council with an update regarding the
hiring of new ADRC Administrator.
A Council member suggested a presentation regarding annex for Government Center in
Hudson.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Beckman informed the Council seven of the nine Senior Nutrition Sites reopened on Monday,
November 8. Dr. McGinnis started visiting the Senior Nutrition Sites and speaking with the
participants.
Beckman informed the Council with information that the Information & Assistance
Specialists has been seeing during this time.
Roemhild explained the Secret Santa Program being offered through the ADRC. She is
currently taking names and donations for the program.

Chair Ostness adjourned the meeting at 10:34 am.
