APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1.Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting November 12, 20218:30 AM
Council Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections, additions, or deletions to the
minutes. Chair Ostness approved the minutes as written.

PUBLIC COMMENT
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Fay Strenke, HHS Fisal Manager, reviewed the November Financial report with the
Council. She mentioned the ARPA Funding for the Aging programs has been received.
The monies will not be utilized in 2021, but will be available until September 2024.

2. Presentation on St. Croix County Government Center Expansion
Adam Kastonek, St. Croix County Public Information Officer, provided Council members
with a power point presentation regarding the Government Center Expansion.
Discussion followed.

3. COVID-19 Update
Bob Rohret, HHS Director, provided the Council with the most recent data on the COVID
dashboard on the County website.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Update on ADRC Administrator Position
Bob Rohret, HHS Director, provided an update on the ADRC Administrator Position.
Interviews were held last week with second interviews this week. A decision will be made
shortly and announced as soon as the offer has been accepted.

5. 2022 Aging and Disability Resource Center events & Council on Aging and
Disabilities meeting dates
Council members were given a list of tentative dates of events and meetings in 2022.
Many of the ADRC hosted events are subject to change.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Chair Ostness asked if there were any suggestions for upcoming meetings. Administrator
Beckman suggested Dr. McGinnis to provide a wrap up on his visits to the Senior Nutrition Sites
and answer any questions regarding COVID.
Council member Nancy Meyer suggested Division of Vocational Rehab.
HHS Director Rohret suggested an introduction of new ADRC Administrator
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Beckman informed the Council that the Senior Nutrition Sites have been open since early
November. Currently the meals in River Falls have been transitioned to Family Fresh Deli.
The Glenwood City Senior Nutrition Site will be moving to the new location on January 6th.
Community Services Coordinator Roemhild announced that the Secret Santa program will
be spreading cheer to 128 individuals throughout St. Croix County.
St. Croix County Public Information Officer Kastonek announced that the United Way St.
Croix County Employee Campaign raised over $9,000.

Chair Ostness adjourned the meeting at 10 am.

The next meeting will be held on Friday, January 14th at 8:30 am at the St. Croix County Services
Center in New Richmond.
