Other present at the meeting were Kristin Newton, ADRC Administrator; Bob Rohret,
HHS Director; Amy Roemhild, ADRC Community Services Coordinator; Fay Strenke, HHS
Fiscal Manager; others present virtually were Adam Kastonek, St. Croix County Public
Information Officer; Dr. Paul McGinnis, Healthand Human Services Board Member.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1.Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting December 10, 20218:30 AM
Council Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections, additions, or deletions to the
minutes. Chair Ostness approved the minutes as written.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment, hearing none, he proceeded with the
meeting.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager, reviewed the December Financial report with the
Council. She mentioned 2021 monies are still coming in and the report will continue to
be updated into March when the books are closed. The donations for home-delivered
meals is higher than projected. Currently everything looks in line as we get close to
closing out the year.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Senior Center COVID Presentation Update
Dr. McGinnis informed the Council that he was able to visit all the Senior Nutrition Sites
and enjoyed his visits. He reviewed the COVID Dashboard on the County website with
the Council and discussed the trends within St. Croix County. He reviewed information
on mask wearing. Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. COVID-19 Update
HHS Director Bob Rohret thanked Dr. McGinnis for his presentation and mentioned he
covered much of what Director Rohret covered. Director Rohret mentioned a couple of
Supreme Court results that happened recently. The Health Care staff for St. Croix County
will need to be vaccinated or provide an exception by January 20th to comply with the
Supreme Court decisions.

4. Introduction of New Aging and Disability Resource Center Administrator
HHS Director Rohret announced that Kristin Newton has been hired as the new ADRC
Administrator. Newton has worked within Behavioral Staff for St. Croix County. Newton
provided Council with information on her background experience within the County.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Chair Ostness asked if there were any suggestions for the upcoming meetings.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Chair Ostness announced that Janet Zander, Greater Wisconsin A A R, will be here in April for a
joint day with ADRC of Pierce County surrounding advocacy. A date has yet to be determined.
Amy Roemhild, ADRC Community Service Coordinator, provided the Council with an update
on the Glenwood City Senior Nutrition Site. The site moved on Thursday, January 6th and
has been able to provide Grab-n-Go and Home-delivered meals this week. The site will be
open for on-site dining in February.
The Council members received the 2022 St. Croix County Resource Guides.
ADJOURN
Chair Ostness adjourned the meeting was adjourned at 10 am.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 8:30 am at the St. Croix County
Government Center in Hudson.
