APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1.Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting January 14, 20228:30 AM Council Chair Ostness asked if there were any corrections, additions or deletions to the minutes. Chair Ostness approved the minutes as written. RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT Chair Ostness opened the floor for public comment, hearing none, he proceeded with the meeting. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager, reviewed the financial report from February 2022. She pointed out that many of the expenses and revenue for January were moved back into 2021 since that is when they incurred. There has been no Intergovernmental Revenue yet to the timing of claiming. Strenke pointed out that once all the 2021 revenues from the Intergovernmental Revenue due to the final claims. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Aging and Disability Resource Center Information & Assistance Specialist/Options Counselors Program Presentation Kelly Weber, ADRC Information & Assistance Specialist/Options Counselor (I&A/OC), provided the Council with an overview of the what the role of an I&A/OC is within the ADRC. Reviewed the process of enrolling consumers into Family Care or IRIS. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Aging and Disability Resource Center Dementia Care Specialist Program Presentation Kim Bauer, Dementia Care Specialist, provided the Council with an overview of the Dementia Care program within the ADRC. Kim spoke on the educational and training opportunities available to businesses and family's caring for someone with Dementia. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Wisconsin's Key Issues for the Aging and Disability Populations Advocacy Event Kristin Newton, ADRC Director, informed that Council the ADRC will be hosting an Advocacy Day on April 21st. Location and time are yet to be determined. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. COVID-19 Presentation Bob Rohret, HHS Director, spoke to Council regarding the new recommendations and guidelines through CDC and Public Health. Rohret along with Adam Kastonek, St Croix County Public Information Officer, reviewed the COVID web pages located on the County website. Discussion followed. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Council Ostness informed the Council that due to County Board elections, there will be no meeting in April. HHS Director Rohret informed the Council that the annual report will be presented in May at the Health and Human Services Board meeting and then the Council in June. ADJOURN Chair Ostness adjourned the meeting at 10:23 am. DATE OF NEXT MEETING The date of the next meeting will be Friday, May 13, 2022 in New Richmond at the St. Croix County Services Center.
